In The Season Of Giving And Rushing Don't Forget That Important Person

INTRODUCTION:

End of the year once again.

A season of thanksgiving, gift giving and, inevitably, rushing.

WE EVEN GIVE TO STRANGERS

Generosity comes naturally, at this time of the year. Many businesses say thank you to their clients/customers for their loyalty. And as individuals, we shower our families, friends and other loved ones with gifts. We even give to strangers, such as needy families and institutions for the destitute.

BUT WE ARE LIKELY TO FORGET SOMEONE

While we rush around with our long list of things to do and gifts to get for various people, we often find we have forgotten some people. If you're like me, you might forget the most important person in your life. YOU. And it's easy to do that, especially if you are a workaholic.

It's okay to work hard, make sacrifices and deprive yourself of sleep occasionally, while pursuing your goal. In fact, the likelihood is that when you are your own boss, you work even harder.

YOU ARE SPECIAL

This year in particular, you have shown that you are made of sterner stuff than the average person. You believed in yourself. And you had the WA family on your side. So while others fell by the wayside and gave up, you chose not to, but worked even harder against the odds.

TAKE A BREAK AND ATTEND TO YOUR NEEDS

Hard work is indeed the way to go, but we have to guard against going overboard while neglecting our health. Just as a car needs regular maintenance to keep going, our bodies need to be well looked after to keep serving us well. So, take a break from work, spend time with your loved ones and have some "ME" time as well. You do not want to get wealthy only to find that you have lost all that matters to you most.

YOU DESERVE A GIFT FROM YOU

For all your hard work, your resilience and determination to succeed, you deserve a gift from you. These were my reflections as I looked at my journey here in WA. It's been two months and two weeks since I joined the WA family. Ten weeks of orientation, watching, listening, learning, experimenting, sharing, empathizing and making friends while building my business. It's been a great time and a not so great time. And I am still here and moving forward.

So, two days ago, I gave myself a gift. My granddaughters and I attended a Day spa where we were pampered and fussed over as though we were the only clients. I knew I had work to do but, for once, I was focused on 'ME' and on re-charging my batteries. And it was worth it. That night, for the first time in years, I slept like a baby and woke up the next morning refreshed, energized and ready to tackle my work with enthusiasm. I think this was one of the best gifts I have ever given myself.

CONCLUSION:

So, what about you?

For your hard work, persistence and resilience, what gift are you planning to give yourself? Please share in the comments below.

As we approach the end of the year, I want to thank every member of my WA family for being so caring and supportive. I am grateful to God that I am here. I wish to say thank you to Kyle and Carson for this great vision called WA and for making it possible for everyone here to dream big knowing that the dream is achievable.

Merry Christmas.

What a good read and plenty to think about. I already have my reward planned once this Covid plague recedes. A long holiday back in Nice.

Thought it was a seat at the front of the beach Bux!

So right Simone. Nice is my favourite city. Sitting on the promenade looking at the Mediterranean. I visualise it every day. And when the sun goes down, walk into the old town for a good meal, wine and fun. Saturday and Sunday nights are open air Jive dancing in the square. I could go on for hours.
That seat on that beach is my go to place to be happy.
