You May Be a mere 3 minutes Away. But You Need Staying Power
THE AMBITIOUS GOLD DIGGER
In his book 'Think And Grow Rich', Napoleon Hill tells the story of a young man who left home with great hope. He was going to the gold mines where he hoped to make his fortune.
HE THREW IN THE TOWEL
He bought the machinery he needed for the work then he gave it his all. After digging for days, weeks and months without seeing any results, he threw in the towel, went home, broken, poor and defeated.
Sad.
But the saddest part is that he was just about to make a breakthrough when he gave up.
Only he didn't know it.
HIS STORY WOULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT
Had he dug another 3 feet down, his story would have been different. He would have struck gold and gone home a rich man.
Instead, he packed up and sold his machinery to someone else. This person had the wisdom to seek advice from an expert and start digging exactly where his predecessor had left off. It wasn't long before he struck gold. He didn't have to work that long. The man before him had done the slogging for him. Sadly he didn't get to enjoy the fruit of his labour.
What a shame!
WHAT HAS THIS GOT TO DO WITH WA?
Everything.
We all want to be successful. That's why we're here. With big dreams we set our goals, work hard and make use of the resources available.
A few months down the line you may pause to look around and see little or no results. Discouraged, you may be tempted to wipe your weary brow and throw in the towel the way that young man in Napolean Hill's story did.
DON'T GIVE IN AND DON'T GIVE UP
Don't give in to that temptation.
At WA you can be successful. Certainly not overnight. But you can reach your goals and be a wealthy affiliate. Many have proved it. Scores of success stories from members attest to that. Success here is achievable. And is within the grasp of everyone of us.
You can work hard just like the young man in the story. You can take advantage of all the resources and training here. But if you lack staying power, like the young man who quit, you are doomed to failure.
We don't know why the young man quit at the point he did. It could be that he had underestimated the amount of work he had to put in. Or maybe there had been too many obstacles along the way, such as inclement weather or boulders to clear before he could proceed.
He might have thought the pace too slow.
Or maybe he had too many things to attend to back home.
Likewise, in business you will come across obstacles, setbacks and misfortunes along the way. Other things may demand your attention. Some of them will cause delays, discourage and demotivate you. When that happens, remind yourself of why you're here.
CONCLUSION
You have not come this far only to give up.
You never know. Your breakthrough might be around the corner. Any day now you might start to reap the rewards of your hard work. So keep going.
Let me leave you with this quote:
"Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn."
- Harriet Beecher Stowe
