My Chess Journey First Half

'' If you know how to play chess, sit on that chair and if you don't, just ' shut up ' . These were the words changed my life around when I was 18 years old.

My friend (Frankie) was playing chess with a man i know for quite some time and i was joking around at that time, saying to my friend ' move this piece or move that piece ' . But i don't have a clue how to play chess. The man who was playing chess with my friend said those words to me ( as i mention above). I knew that i was wrong. I knew that a chess game need total silence. But i thought that it was not a big deal and they were playing just for fun. And he told me to shut it. I was a bit upset and angry because he knew that i can't play chess and his body language was telling me that '' know your place''.

The very next day, i asked Frankie to teach me how to play chess. He said '' he is not a very good player and showed me how the chess pieces move and their strengths and powers. He said to me '' I should play on yahoo chess.'' That evening, I was well on my way to chess world where i have never ever been before. I have lost my first game ( i still didn't have a clue how to play), I only know how to move my pieces. I have lost my second game, I was beaten on my third game and after i have lost quite a few games , I started to realize that how to defense ( I didn't know how to attack ). After a good hours of playing ( losing ) chess, i decided to call it a day.

When you play chess online, you can't see your opponent face and he/she can't see yours either, that gave me a lot of encouragements to make a move ( stupid or good ). I just moved what i think the best but i didn't think too long. I have moved fast as for a beginner. After a good while ( more than 3 or 4 months ), I started to win games regularly. But of course i have lost more games than i have won. Once Bobby Fisher quoted '' All I Want To Do, Ever, Is Just Play Chess ''. I have obsessed with chess. I was thinking about chess all the time and i played chess every waking hours of mine. I wanted to be a good chess player at that time ( no knowledge to play for professionally yet ). WHY? I just wanted to beat The Man who told me to shut it. He was a strong chess player.

One morning, in the early days of british's summer, Frankie and I were playing chess. At that time he was cooking as well. What he did was annoying me , he made his move and went into the kitchen. And he said to me '' Did you make that move? Did you move your queen? and guess what , I did made that move and i did move my queen. I was amazed and upset, angry and asking myself '' how the hell in the world he knew what i moved?''. Every time we played, he won easily. So i set my target that before i can beat The Man, i need to beat Frankie first because The Man beat Frankie so bad right in front of my own eyes. So if i couldn't manage to beat Frankie, how the hell can i dream of beating The Man?.
