Slowly But Surely

Well, I'm coming along. Currently working on the training, about to finish the second course. I have my website built with about 5 posts posted so far. I have a lot of content ideas, but when it comes to writing them, it's probably been the hardest part for me so far. When writing a post, I get easily distracted and it normally takes me two or three days to write one post. However, I'm not discouraged. Before I joined WA, I never even imagined I'd have my own website. Everything I learned has been great and I'm looking forward to learning more.

I decided to go with a niche in fitness, strength training specifically. I've always loved going to the gym and get stronger. However, I never realized how little I knew about strength training until I started to write posts about it! That's a good thing though, as it has allowed me to do more research and try different things, and I feel like I'm becoming more of an expert in my niche than when I first started writing about it.

As far as successes go, right now the fact that I have a website built is a success. It has also been indexed in Google, so I think that's a pretty big success as well.

As far as goals go, I'm aiming to write just one post a week for my website. When I feel like I've excelled at writing one post, I'll move on to two a week and so on. Eventually, I want to get to one post a day.

Well, that's where I'm at so far. It's been encouraging reading some of everyone elses posts, and I hope my post may offer some encouragement to you.

I feel your pain,
I follow a three-part process

my method is to get a keyword and I always use Free Jaaxy for this and a headline which I use Schedule.com free tool which is down at the bottom of the home page and then draft out 7 or 8 subheads.
I do this in Word to start so I have a copy
Once I have that done I then just fill in the subheads when I want. Takes me a couple of days as I am part time online but I don't get bogged down with constant writing and enjoy writing more in easy chunks.
Finally, pick some topical pictures to put in, link to Google load to my WA hosted website, error check pick a category use a feature image and POST
It does take time but gets easier as you go.
Hope I helped in some small way.

Thanks for the advice, Peter. I'll have to give that a try!

Thanks kindly for sharing & posting ... keep going onward & upward to success, cheerio... :)

Great job! I am glad you are moving onward with your website! I think the more you write, the easier it will become.

Best wishes,
Karin
