Great Equipment For YouTube
YouTube Equipment I Use
* Please note I am not an affiliate for any of the below products and they are used personally by me. *
I thought I would write a quick post to detail what equipment I am currently using to start my YouTube Channel as it may interest those of you starting out like me!
The below equipment will not break the bank. It is certainly very good equipment in my opinion and is rated highly in the YouTube Community.
I use the "YetiCaster" Microphone and Desk Mount Arm which is a fab piece of kit.
Teleprompter
With the microphone I also use have "Neewer X1 Mini Teleprompter, 8" Portable Teleprompter for iPad Tablet Smartphone DSLR Cameras with Remote Control"
This isn't really needed but it helps you to read text off a mirrored screen which is projected from your iPhone. This makes you look as if you are speaking to the camera itself which is as it should be!
To be able to use the Teleprompter, I have been using the "Neewer Triangle Wall Mounting Boom Arm for Photography Studio Video Strobe Lights Monolights Softboxes Umbrellas Reflectors,180 Degree Flexible Rotation,Max Length 70.8 inches/180 centimeters (Black)".
This is a great piece of kit and very well made. However, you can use much smaller stands which will do the same job.
Lighting
I decided to get was the "RALENO LED Video Light, 192 LEDS Ultra-thin Panel Camera Light with LCD Display Built-in Batteries Dimmable 3200-5600K Bi-color and Brightness CRI 95+ lighting for Studio YouTube Interview Portrait" which gives off all the light you need especially if you have a small room to work in.
I'm really looking forward to launching my YouTube Channel using this kit!
I hope this helps anyone that is interested.
All the Best!

Good morning Glynn,
Thank you for the very useful information, it's much appreciated. I'll bookmark your post for future reference.
I have heard that the Yeti microphone is very good. I almost purchase one 18 months ago, however, they were out of stock. In some ways, I wish I had waited.
I have actually gone back to using a headset to create videos as the sound quality is much better. The sound quality may be partly due to the room rather than the microphone.
I look forward to hearing how you get on with your new equipment.
Have a great day.
Roy
I am loving the Yeti so far and the stand / arm is really nice too as I hate the ones with a non hidden spring on them.
Thank you.
All the best!

That's good, Glynn, I really like the idea of the Yeti microphone, due to all the excellent reviews that I read. It will be interesting to see how your equipment works out once you get started.
It would be great if you could do a follow-up post in the coming weeks. I wonder how the yeti would compare to the microphone that I purchased.
Interestingly enough, as I mentioned in the previous comment the yeti microphone wasn't available. The microphone (USB Microphone, Fifine Metal Condenser Recording Microphone for Laptop MAC or Windows) I purchased from Amazon and has good reviews. However, prices are now considerably cheaper than what I paid, I guess I purchased when there was a shortage of microphones due to the Spamdemic.
Have a great day,
Roy
