The One Mikey - Site Comments Question :)
I learned in Live Chat someone was saying that all their site comments to their blog came from one place (WA) How would Google validate our sites if that was the case. Would Google know the commentators came from one place?
Will this affect our stie ranking for the future? Is this something I should be wary about? Thank you.

Comments are specific to your site even though they come through WA.

Thanks but I am asking about how would Google rank blog comments when they specifically come from one place. Is this going to be in our favor or against?
Just imagine all your comments coming from one place, would Google rate our site as favorable? Not copying and pasting.
Yes as far as I have been studying, use key words and key word phrases. I have been told copy and pasting is not the best todo due to the fact it an be generic.

I am not sure if comments matter as much as content, as far as ranking goes. Have you been discovered by google yet?
No but I built my website and activated seo plugin it will take sometime before Google finds it. Yeah I am not sure too reason why I was asking.

Key word rich content and content. I have between posts and pages over 20 pieces of content on my page.

I'll pipe in about the SiteComments platform.
Yes, the comments are generated here through that platform. But they are unique pieces of content that come up through your WordPress dashboard - they don't come in until you approve them. Google sees the engagement rate and the unique comments that come in.
I use it quite often. I have an old blog post that has over 6,000 comments, most of which are organic, but I started using SiteComments first before the organic comments came in.
I typically ask for 2 comments for almost any post. I have definitely disapproved comments before because they didn't stay relevant to the article.
For example, I've had folks leave a comment saying "Wow, great website. Love it. Good post. Thanks for sharing this amazing post!" I'd recommend not approving those.
But if you have an article, let's say on a review of a treadmill. I'd approve of something like:
"Hey, thanks for sharing this review. I've been looking around online at the different options of treadmills out there and was wondering... how does this treadmill compare to "XYZ" treadmill? I want to be able to set goals and adjust the height levels for sure, do you have any other recommendations?"
As long as the comments are relevant, Google's algorithms are going to appreciate the engagement and have signals sent that your content is engaging. Also, through Google's site crawl, they will count your comments as content on the article itself.
