Hello,
When I see this issue on the wordpress site:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cant-get-api-activation-key-due-to-hosting-restrictions
I fear a bit that this will be blocked by the WA hosting service...
You can best ask the same question at:

The last couple of weeks I've been sporadically getting email alerts from WordFence on my blog site telling me that a user was locked out for attempting to login with invalid c
Hi
Are you sure this isn't spam? Don't click on any link if you're not sure
You should contact WA support (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support
) and ask them if they have seen any unusual activity on your website. I believe they have access to this kind of information
Cheers
Sarah
No I get plenty of spam comments that I weed out so they don't get posted. This is more like someone repeatedly trying to log in to my site, they've tried logging in as 'admin' multiple times. Thankfully the random password WA generates will be really hard to just guess at so I'm not too worried, but it does raise an eyebrow.
hmmmm definitely, thanks for sharing this, it might help others in the future. The internet really isn't always a safe place lol

Not sure if I'm missing something here or what, I'm trying to add a banner link into one of my posts, but it seems dropping the html code into the text editor just shows the html c
I'm trying to practice with a domain I have I was posting from click bank do you use click bank
Hi.
Are you sure you are using the complete code?
With opening and closing tag?
It usually works just like you said.
Paste the code into the text editor, save and preview.
Did you add the HTML code in the Visual tab? It needs to be added on the Text tab (you said text editor, so perhaps you did this).
The html banner code should begin with "<iframe" and end with "</iframe>". Is that what you have?
Yeah, sorry I should've been more specific, this is in reference to amazon affiliate banner links. It gives you the iframe banner code, I've tried just pasting it in when I'm in visual editor and it just displays the text of the code, and when I paste it in text editor it doesn't show anything.
Almost wondering if it'd just be easier to download the banner graphic, upload it then add the link into it XD
Beginning to wonder if it's an issue with the theme I'm using. When I put the iframe code in and switch back to visual I can see the Iframe box, it just doesn't show anything when I update/preview the post
Hmmm... last time I posted an Amazon banner in my content it worked just fine. That was 6 months ago or so but it is what I looked at to make my comment.
Just to make sure I've communicated how it works for me ...
Even after I publish the post, I still only see the "shadow box" for the banner on the Visual tab. When I click on View Post to go to my actual site, however, I see the banner. Have you checked on it by going to your site?

I'm in the process of growing the audience for my new site through a page I setup on facebook, and I've gotten a couple people that 'liked' my page then randomly posted this as a c
So much spam on FB, it sounds like it would be impossible to avoid it, however I have been in groups (think they were secret groups) that each comment/ post would have to be approved by admin first. This way filtering would maybe become a lot easier much like your comments on your webpage.
Yeah I thought about doing that for my page, but didn't want to leave too much lag if my friends and family helping with the initial launch wanted to comment on it. I had that turned on initially and even after I approved a comment it wasn't showing up on the page for some reason.
I got another spam comment this morning from the post I dropped last night. Reported it as spam before deleting it this time
Great! Another thing they are doing in the fb community to keep from the lag you mention was having another approved admin member so your not the only person having to ok every comment :-)
This is the first time I'd seen it on FB, wasn't too sure what to make of it though. Should I take it as rude that all you're going to do on my page is post spam? Or do I just take the like and call it a day? The latter almost seems counterproductive because if all they're doing is dropping spam and moving on then they probably won't check out any of my content later anyways.
Yeah you can remove and ban them from your page, that's what I did to the second person that did it
