Don’t talk to me about HTML
As an IT mainframe dinosaur, I used to code in COBOL, SYSTEM370, and JCL back in the Stone Age, so I am no stranger to coding. I know what HTML is and what it does. The Wealthy Affiliate training has made a couple of oblique references to HTML but has certainly provided no training in it. I know enough about It to be wary of it. I know thatbin coding in general, I minor syntax error, even just a missing semicolon on an insertion, can invalidate the whole page, and something that has been working fine for weeks can suddenly disappear.
So as I ventured out into affiliate programs other than Amazon Associates I am sometimes, to my surprise and annoyance, instructed to add an HTML string to my pages. I can tell you right now this is not going to happen
The more I see of these complicaed joining processes the more I appreciate the brilliant simplicity of the Amazon Associats program and how seamlessly it interfaces with both WA and Wordpress. No HTML edits required,
So, until I do learn it, I will not be dealing with those affiliate programs that require it.
