Forming the Foundation

The first steps toward success are had in the forming
of a solid and versatile foundation.

You and I can never expect the life altering success we have dreamt of if we are not willing to build a foundation for our business that has the strength to take us there.

This means that instead of rushing to launch a business and start turning a profit, we take time to be more methodical and calculating.

There's no denying this is hard. Naturally we are driven for the results and life we had always wanted, never truly considering the time and effort that we must be willing to pay.

To build a business one needs to do more than have an idea and a willingness to chase it. Although this is a good start,
more commitment and preparation is needed.

Here is a small list of things to be included in brainstorming and developing the foundation of your business:

-Personal Skills & Experience
-Idea for Business / Product
-Research
-Building a Business Plan
-Determining multiple ways to build your business / virtual income
-Marketing & Branding Research & Planning
-The beginning of Your Brand & planned marketing practice
-The conceptual development of the focus of your content
-The acquisition of knowledge in order to develop an independent business practice
-Brainstorm Companies you would like to promote / Affiliate promote-able products etc.
-The development of design
-The potential partnership with experienced mentors
-The development of a healthy daily routine, starting in the morning
-The ability to see the vision of where you are headed and hold a healthy prospective
-Your ability to communicate effectively
-(And of course a relentless determination to never give up.)

Okay so the above list is not perhaps as big as it could be, nor does it provide the minute detail that many of us enjoy so much. It is simply meant to represent the efforts that need to be made before we can realize success. Not just in the short term, but the long term as well.

It is easy to feel overwhelmed with all there is to do, and how long it truly takes to make it all come together. Just remember that living the life you have always wanted to live comes with a price, and that price is effort and energy.

You and I must always remember that a solid foundation for our business is required for us to see it grow to the heights that make once seemingly impossible dreams achievable.

So before you worry about earning the solid steady income that will change the way you live your life forever, first worry about the planning, the studying, and the preparation that you are doing. First consider building before you consider earning.

Although things don't need to be prefect for you to make money online, it would be best if you put forth a solid effort to make things as best as you can make them. Do your best, don't settle. You best believe that your competition puts serious effort into what they do, so if you plan on coming anywhere near them then you have to be serious about what you do. This will require great sacrifice, but without sacrifice you will never pay the price.

Learning to enjoy and relish the journey can be a real trip sometimes, but without out passing this most formidable test you can never be better than the rest.

We are all in this together.
Never Give Up Never Surrender!

Great tips. It is hard at times to remember that you need that foundation. People, and I include myself in this, have been trained to expect instant gratification. That is a hard expectation to break. It takes practice and training like most things.

Glad you enjoyed the post. I know what you mean, it's hard to realize and accept that things will take longer than one would like. You're so right proper training and practice can help us be more mentally prepared for the mindset and hard work we will need to adopt.

Thanks for your open and honest comment.

Hey Evan
I think this is what I needed.I was getting a little down and needed this to pump me up and it makes me go back to the drawing board and evaluate the solidness of my foundation.
Thanks

Hey Evan, excellent post my friend. Some very useful pointers in there. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers

No worries Darwyn! Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the comment.

Great Post Evan... I think you have some very valuable points here. So much you'll have to take into consideration when building your website, that it quickly becomes confusing and overhelming!

But i think when we are just starting out, the best thing to do, is to just get your content out there, without thinking too much about it... Then learn by trial and error untill you eventually know what's working and what's not!

Best Regards

I am a firm believer that you need to remember to take things one paw at time.

I personally don't advocate blind business practice. I want to be sure I have a vision from day one. Sure that vision can and will evolve with time, but wasting my time will never make me a dime.

Of course you can do things overtime, but the more you can do from day one the better.

I greatly appreciate your opinion and am sure it will help others here see that different people like to do things differently. Which is perfectly fine. I'm glad you enjoyed today's post, and look forward to hearing from you in the future.

I totally agree with you!

But i learned from my own experience, that trying to make everything right the first time around, will only lead to frustration... This is when one start to overthink and overcomplicate things, you quickly get very caught up on making everything perfect, hence never get content out and about which is the most important thing when you've just started!

Everyone thinks differently, have different personalities, and do things differently in general... I'm like you, i like to plan - alot, but it has stopped me so many times before, due to this 'overthinking/selfdoubts' that this time around i will give the trial and error way a shot :D Though i will do some basic planning, like making a flowchart etc.

Okay, I see what you are saying. No worries man. Perfectionism is real threat to progress some days. And you and I both know that although we like to have things just right its hard to move forward, but sometimes that's exactly what we need to do. Some times what we have is good enough for now....

Right on spot Evan :) I look forward to follow you here on WA, and reading your blog post's... Thanks for taking the time to put things in perspective - for me, and for everyone else reading this post!
