WA Affiliate Program
Updated

Hello,

If I already have a WA premium membership currently active and expiring after 8-9 months, is it still possible or worthwhile to opt for the black friday sale? I m

you buy a full year and it is added to your exisitng time - so you may end up paying twice in one year, but you then start paying from when you first started
so for instance i pay in may 2010 and bought the bf deal in november 2010
i pay twice in 2010...
now my next payment is may 2012, so you get a year off payment and the renewal is at the bf pricing...
but as Diane says hte bf deal is gone for this year ( unless you approach kyle and see what he can do.....)
good luck
phil

Hey thanks a ton for the detailed reply! Got it!

Yes then it definitely makes sense. Anyway, no worries now. Better luck next time! :-)

Hi - not sure when you wrote this, but the Black Friday deal has now expired anyway.

Thanks for the reply! Actually the date I wrote this question, it was showing the black friday deal was still going to be there for a day or so! Anyway, no worries. Better luck next time! :-)

Hi Gyan,

It was generous of Wealthy Affiliate to keep the Black Friday offer for so long.
Best wishes,

Delroy

This may sound silly, but is it possible or acceptable to use an amazon affiliate link for a product that you would like to buy for yourself? That way, I would at least get 5-8

Be careful with that...

Most of the affiliate programs do not allow auto-purchase to earn a commission or "discount", it could result in a penalty and your account could be banned.

You can check the rules to be sure,

Hope that help,

Hey thanks for sharing & replying so promptly!

It's a no-no

Hey thanks for sharing & replying so promptly!

Also, is it not permitted to share an affiliate link over social media or WhatsApp?

As my wife recently bought a product from Amazon & posted about it on instagram & a few ppl asked her about the product. So I gave her an affiliate link for it and a couple of ppl did end up buying. But is this also against their policy? Any clue?

I'm not a lawyer and I don't work for Amazon so I can't give you any advice except to read the page I linked to above in its entirety.

No not at all
Amazon will come down on you big time

You can share affiliate links on social media (not sure about WhatsApp).
But don't run paid traffic straight to the affiliate link. That's not allowed.

And Amazon won't pay commissions if they find out that the buyers were either family or close friends.
And they are very good at that.

If their official terms and conditions are too complicated to understand (they are quite complicated), just contact Amazon via chat.

Hi Gyan
I see you have a great answer below so go well

Hey Sneha,

Might this be of assistance to you: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/

If not, then perhaps Google searching "setting up variants in woocommerce" (without the quotation marks, of course) will provide you with the help you seek.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you so much for your help & reply! Yes, had already had a look at that, but I need info about another issue. Since I was unable to find it anywhere, have contacted woo commerce support for it and waiting for them to respond. Hoping to hear from them soon. Anyway, thanks a ton for your help & reaching out! :)

Once you find a resolution to your issue... you could always create a tutorial to share it with other members who may end up going through what you have. Just a thought...

Yes, great idea! Will do :-)
