I'm filling out the application for Petco. They want me to add tags that describe my content to improve recommendations. What are tags?
Tags are specific keywords or longtail phrases in your content.
I am not an expert, THebron2. But, using tags should help the process.

Tags are keywords or phrases that describe your content and help categorize it. This makes it easier for Petco (or any platform) to suggest your content to the right audience. By using tags, you’re essentially adding labels that capture the main topics, themes, or characteristics of what you're sharing, which then improves recommendations and visibility.
For example, if your content is about dog grooming, relevant tags might include things like "dog grooming," "pet care," "dog health," "grooming tips," or even specific dog breeds if applicable (like "Boxers" or "poodles"). Relevant tags should be specific enough to reflect what your content covers but broad enough that people interested in related topics could still find it. The goal is to choose tags that match what your ideal audience would search for or what would attract pet owners looking for helpful, engaging content.
Good morning
I'm on Chewy's affiliate page.
For "Partner type", would it be content or subaffiliate?

I joined an affiliate program with Petco. I gave all the info requested. They told me they would look over the info and let me know. How long does it take?
I would also recommend you apply to more than one network as a backup. I have waited three months at times before giving up. As Abie says use the time to understand the problems in your niche and create more content
If the affiliate manager is clueless then you won't make much money. The longer they make you wait over a fortnight anyway which i think is a reansble amount ot time to review all potential applicants then you know how little they value affiliates
It depends from one program to another; there are no set rules. However, I would not wait to carry on building content.
You may want to follow with their support.

Building my website. Come to choosing theme. Themes available don't match my niche. I put what I'm looking for and there are none found. How do I find the theme that matches my
Try to broaden your choice.
However, any theme can be customized regardless of your niche topic.
I use Blocksy Agency but also have the GeneratePress premium, amongst others.
The majority here uses the GneratePress.
I would test it first before buying in because that can be expensive.
You want to ensure they are responsive, extremely light, fast, well-coded, SEO optimized, flexible, adaptable, and customizable.
You may try GeneratePress or Premium, where you can extend the theme and have many layout templates.
Please let us know how you get along.

Best to use Generate Press which is the one WA provided to you. As Eric stated focus first on content for your readers first plus when you are ready to customise your theme Eric also has many short videos on Generate Press that will help you further.
That was the original theme WA provided you with if you have deleted it and want it back go to your back office Website then click appearance and then themes.
In the search box there type in GeneratePress and then activate it.
make sure you activate it first before deleting the current theme you have now which you didn't mention.

most welcome enjoy and just focus on the training and creating content for your readers based on your niche.
Hey apache1, trying to do my privacy policy and when I tried to paste it said site health problems.
Site Kit by Google: Activate or Delete? The SEO Framework: Activate or Delete?
You might want to send a ticket to site support regarding the site health issue they will let you know.
As for the plugins they can be activated.
You don’t really look for a theme to match your niche. Themes are fully customizable, so the easiest way is to choose a simple, lightweight theme and you’ll be able to customize it to make it your own. And if you’re new to themes, no problem, focus on your content first and later you’ll learn how to bring your vision to life.

In the Revenue section, can you chose any affiliate program or does it have to be WA?
Not at all. Choose the ones that make sense and resonate best with your chosen niche and target audience.

Maxine is correct but you need to use relevant tags
What is a relevant tag? I'm new to this.
