The Golden Rule

Treating others as you would like to be treated. It's a simple concept, but I'm amazed at how many people trying to market products to others who don't follow the basic rule that can dramatically improve chances for success.

For many, they are the first to complain or cry foul if someone treats them badly but when the shoe is on the other foot they often look out for themselves first. I have seen examples of this while visiting restaurants, retail shops, gas stations, airports, and even church (yes even church).

The next time someone "wrongs" you put yourself in their shoes before deciding to take an off the cuff action you might regret later. When a prospect asks you questions about your products and opportunity; answer them honestly and quickly. If you don't know the answer say so and then find the right answer for your prospect. They will respect you for it in the long run and it will build trust from them in you.

To paraphrase Dale Carnegie, to get what you want help others get what they want.

you are correct it is human nature to want the thing that others have and Not even consider others before yourself. This is a hard rule to follow but I try my best.
