My “Toy” Website Made Money in 3 Months and Changed My Mind

I have a blog that promotes online gaming through a social casino. It is small and insignificant. I write articles promoting individual games and player guides. I then include an affiliate link in articles, with anchor text and/or a CTA at the end of each article. If someone clicks through it, they get a lifetime cookie with my ID attached.

I am not getting much traffic to this site; to be honest, I have had a total of 44 visitors on the site, and out of them, 4 are active players now. From those 4 active players so far I have netted $128 and it grows weekly as they continue to make purchases on the site.

I created and launched this site on Jan 31, 2026. I currently have 12 pages and 36 post. Recently traffic has been growing since the creation of a dedicated Facebook page and Pinterest page for the site.

To be honest, I created this site as toy to play around with to test and see if there was enough interest in it. I guess there is and I can see this site doing well over time. People love online gaming it seems.

Why am I sharing this? I wish to tell you within 3 months, I was able to gain traction using what I learned here on Wealthy Affiliate. I used the recent training classes and just followed the simple directions. That is all I did.

As Eric Cantu would say, I jumped in and got my hands dirty.

So to wrap up and inspire. If you pay attention to the training, and apply what you learn. You can be successful. The training works.

I am currently reevaluating the decision of the label of a toy site, and I am preparing to dig in and give it my all just to see where it goes from here.
