SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is about making your website better so more people find it when they search online. You don’t pay for these visits directly. Instead, you improve your content and website structure to appear higher in search results naturally.

For example- Think of a librarian helping you find a book. The librarian knows the books because they’re labeled and organized well. SEO is like putting the right labels on web pages so search engines know where to find what you are looking for.


SEM

SEM (Search Engine Marketing) is a broader term. It includes both SEO and PPC. It means promoting your website by increasing its visibility in search engine results through paid and unpaid methods.

For example- Have you ever looked for a movie to watch online? You type the name, and the first few options you see might be ads. SEM makes this happen. It’s a bit like magic, but really it’s about using the right words and paying a bit to be seen.


PPC

PPC (Pay-Per-Click) is a way to get visitors by paying for ads. You create ads and pay a fee every time someone clicks on them. These ads appear alongside or above the organic search results.

For example- Businesses pay money to put their ads on websites, search engines, or social media. Here's the kicker: they only pay when someone clicks on their ad. It’s kind of like a billboard that only charges you when someone asks for more info.
