Fail to Scale

(The header image illustrates the concept of 'fail to scale' as an ascent up a challenging mountain path, emphasizing strategic business growth.)

I want to share what I've learned over the weekend. The term 'fail to scale' means trying to make all your mistakes early on in your journey or venture, whether online or brick-and-mortar, versus later... Then, the damage incurred would be less. Imagine scaling your business and then making a mistake; it would be detrimental to your overall performance.

Try to do everything yourself (learn the business inside out), up to the point where you think you will lose out if you do not hire additional staff.

Run your enterprise on the merit of hiring qualified, self-responsible people. Hire slowly, fire fast. And rid yourself of hierarchy.

While watching the competition, let it not deter your creativity. If you feel within and in your heart, a course of practical action, go with that.

I did exactly that on my 3rd website Abioi!

The third website was never planned. My friend suggested that. So I checked it out. Tested in one social media (Facebook). When I had an unexpected response, then it made me make a decision of commitment.

And it had proven to be a good decision after all.

Thank you for this post Abioi!

Cheers,
Maria ๐ŸŒน

Woohoo! Congrats Marioi :)

I am upset with Grammarly; they messed up the interface, and I am struggling to use it.

Woooooh! So sorry to hear that Abioi! โ˜น๏ธ

I hope you got it squared away! Youโ€™re good with this techy anyway!

Cheers,
Maria ๐ŸŒน

I didn't; they said plainly they were incapable of fixing it. They added a couple of weeks free. But what is the point when I cannot use their app?

Great tips Abie

We all learn from reading your posts

Jeff

Howdy! How is your testing?

Hello Countess

I am now using Medium to test some of my niche ideas for future websites, thanks to you

Thank you much
Jeff

Absolutely brilliant.

Thanks :) And have a great week ahead.

Thank you.

You're right, Abie! I try so hard to be perfect, not realizing I'm not making any progress.

Appreciate the post!
Isaiah ๐Ÿ˜

I have the same attribute, Isaiah! I totally embrace it.

Thanks :) Have a great start to the week.

Hi Abie

Thereโ€™s no substitute for experience. The sooner, the better. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Frank ๐Ÿค˜๐ŸŽธ

You bet :) However, you must dig in to gain experience, especially if it is a new concept you're trying to develop. Thus, you're not afraid to roll your sleeves and get going.

Thank you, Frank! And how was your weekend?

I agree, Abie. There's nothing better than rolling up your sleeves and jumping head-first into something totally new! It doesn't get any better than that! Lol

We had a really fun weekend with some out-of-state friends I haven't seen in a while! Now, I'm trying to catch up on all the WA posts and my guitar playing, but not necessarily in that order. Haha ๐ŸŽถ

It's my wife's birthday today, so the festivities continue! We're going to one of her favorite Japanese restaurants and then champagne with presents, movies, and cake at home. She picked an "Italian Cream Cake" from Whole Foods, so hopefully, it'll be good. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

How was your weekend?

Frank ๐Ÿค˜๐ŸŽธ

That's nice, Frank, and I am so happy for you guys :) Happy Birthday to your wife without acquaintance.

Well, nothing idle. We partied Friday and Saturday till the early morning hours; it was a blast... We had our Sunday brunch! We are blessed beyond belief. All in all, it was wild and awe-inspiring. Thanks for asking :)

Looking to do that every weekend lol

Fantastic weekend, Abie!

That's the way to do it, and it sounds like a formula definitely worth repeating! Lol ๐Ÿ‘

Work hard during the week and then take Saturday & Sunday to do all the things you enjoy most.

We usually manage to have a champagne brunch on the weekend with mimosas, bellinis, etc., but it's just us, a few neighbors, and whoever else wants to come.

When my aunts and uncles were still living, the whole family got together for a huge Sunday brunch that went from 6 AM to about noon, so everyone could arrive as they pleased, but nobody ever left after they ate. Lol

I only have one 95-year-old aunt left who lives in Florida. We just lost an aunt who almost made it to 101!

We keep most of the family get-togethers going with the younger generations, but I really miss the old days!

Thanks for Stacy's birthday wishes! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
