Want Success? Set Goals

We have all seen and heard of the great success stories of the internet marketing world. You have likely heard about people who had literally nothing to start with except an idea for a niche. They did the research, followed the training, and after some time and effort these folks began to see amazing success.

There are tons of people who join WA or who start blogs/online businesses outside of WA who do not see the success that those referenced in the opening paragraph achieve. Ever wonder why? The answer is simple. The people who succeed have set a goal to succeed. They didn't just want to succeed. No. They burned with a desire to succeed and had a never-say-die attitude. Rarely did they jump from one niche to another. They stayed the course and made it an all-consuming goal that they must achieve. These winners don't make excuses. They make time to pursue their dreams. They prioritized their dreams and moved them from something in their heads and made it a part of their identity.

Many people start a blog. But, hey, that's easy. We all know that. Success doesn't come when a blog or website is created. Success comes when time, energy, effort, nurture, and burning passion are added to the website. The "hit and hope" approach is for the average person who just doesn't get it. The winners do whatever they can and whatever it takes. They upgrade to Premium and dive into the training. They not only get the training, they implement it. They ask for help. They get comments. They share what they learn with newbies. They live and breathe their dreams and goals.

So, How to Set and Achieve the Goal

Simple.

1. Determine exactly what you want. Be specific. Vagueness is a death nail to websites. Specificity is your best friend in the online/internet world.

2. Stop ALL excuses and get to work. Make a list of priorities that must be done to get something done on your blog//website. This list could include things like:

  • Start the site design and development courses (get certified)
  • Research your niche
  • Write your first three well-researched posts - if need be, study again how to research a keyword
  • Get feedback from the WA community
  • Determine how you will monetize the site.

The above is just a sample. You may have a totally different list. Depends on where you are in the process. The idea is to write out the list and get to work.

3. Determine what needs to be done FIRST on the list you wrote. Work on it first. Do not get distracted. Then go on to the second most important item. And so on.

4. Write your specific dream/goal on a card that you can read throughout the day. Every success guru I have ever known has advocated this concept. It drives the goal into your mind, heart, soul, and psyche. Don't argue with it. Just do it.

Do the above and you WILL become one of the people referenced in the first paragraph.

Hope this helps.

Tony
