Enjoying the Ride
Too Cool ...
Well, I made it through the first certification. Feels good. For me a lot of it involved things I had picked up over the last 5 years or so BUT there were some valuable insights I needed to know. Assumption is a bad choice in website planning.
What was one important discovery for me? Well, the detail of how content is so much more key than it used to be. Some years ago just writing anything with keywords stuffed here and there might get you ranked. But Google's approach is so different now. A more natural approach is the key now. Writing to real people, rather than for a search engine, is the way to go. Keywords are still important, but the strategy has changed.
A Better Fit ...
I like the natural style better because I write better for a real person. It fits my style better and I am so much more comfortable with it. I enjoy writing my posts so much more now. I can relax and turn it loose.
Still a Learner ...
Yes, I was reminded of a lot of things I sorta already knew BUT I know I have so much more to learn. My rankings are getting better and my site is evolving in positive ways. The feedback from the folks here at WA has been top-notch. I take every comment and insight seriously. I appreciate those of you who have commented on my site. I am looking forward to launching another one in the next month or so. Still doing the research.
So, I am enjoying the ride. It has been fun and beneficial.

AFternoon, Tony, Enjoying the Ride is a revelation to me. I never realized how important content is and you explained it very clearly how beneficial real content can be to a website. It gives me the added incentive of posting and creating original content. Thanks for the inspiration. Cordially, David
Thanks for the kind words David. I am glad it was helpful to you. Learned it myself right here on WA! ~ Tony
Keep growing Tony! I also came here with a lot of knowledge, but I am surprised at how much I am picking up by simply taking it from the very beginning again. I used to custom build sites and I stayed away from wordpress for no other reason than pride. But I am past that now and I love having a community devoted to the platform that is here every step of the way.

I think it's good that you can keep fine-tuning content as more feedback and research comes along.
