Well, I made it 4 days!
And yes, I have pretty much been in front of my laptop all day today :-) I finally took the plunge and started my premium membership this morning, and figured what better way to spend a day "off". Granted there were breaks for grilling burgers and steaks, and watching the Chicago Bears try and give me a heart attack! I finished my first real post, which was basically an overview of my niche, which is fantasy sports. I don't know if it will work longterm, but I am going to give it the old college try. Then I spent a few hours tweaking the post and the website, and added a few pictures after I got to that part of the training.
The way I see it, this is building a foundation for the future. If you are familiar with the stock market, you are probably familiar with Warren Buffet. He has a saying that I truly believe in. "If you do not find a way to make money in your sleep, you will work for the rest of your life." I don't know about you, but that isn't very appealing to me. Mr. Buffet preaches having multiple sources of income, which is what I hope this will become. I realize it will take months and years, but I have to start somewhere, and I did- 4 days ago!
Thank you to everyone who has reached out and helped already, this really is a friendly group of people. I look forward to many more "off" days working on my newest job!

Congratulations Travis, Welcome to WA. May I say that's a beautiful wedding photo. All the best with your path your on, and get those 4 days rolling....
Thank you so much! We just got married on May 26th, and recently bought a house, now it's time to start enjoying life more which is where something like this comes into play.
Oh wow, again Congratulations, I am sooo Happy for you both. Getting married, buying a new home, your dreams are Truly coming forth in such a positive way. I feel excited for you both. I am looking forwards to hearing more from you. Thank you.
Congrats on the wise investment Travis. You've got a blog on Fantasy Sports and by next season I will be starting on my Grand Slam City blog about Arizona Baseball, Kids and Sports, and Memorabilia. I am a big fan of Baseball now but a bigger fan of preserving bits of yesterday for kids of tomorrow because things like collections of Jerseys, Sports Cards, and home run balls just shouldn't go out of style or be for old farts. Who knows we may be able to collaborate some by then.
That sounds like a lot of fun! I agree, I have tons of old sports cards doesn't seem like they are big like they used to be sadly. I look forward to reading your blog!
Older ones are but there is such a floor of new sets that you have to spend a fortune for dime a dozen rookies. It's a labor of passion, one I kk\hope the kids pick up on.
Welcome, Travis, to Wealthy Affiliate.
You have come to the right platform to learn how to build an online business. I believe you have gone through some of the training. Why not go through the rest? Online Entrepreneur Certification - Getting Started Level 1 A great Warren Buffet's quote there. Glad that you like it here and you able to see the 'opportunity' WA can provide. Good for you.
All the best to you and your loved ones. Happy learning.
I am working through level 3 today, tomorrow I will work on more content I believe, that seems to be the most important thing here at the beginning. Thank you for the kind words!
Congrats on going Premium!
Fantasy sports is a great niche, mainly because it is rapidly increasing in popularity with more people exploring games online. Your website will help build awareness and add value to the niche. With good content and the right monetization strategy I am sure that you will do really well.
Best of luck!
