I am so thankful for Wealthy Affiliate! I have gotten so much farther than I could have imagined in only a month. My work from home search started with a bunch of scams. That is how I came across this site, was by looking at reviews from a site that was a scam. Someone had posted on the review site saying that one was a scam and mentioning Wealthy Affiliate as a good site.
Since then, I have made my own subject, or niche, my own website, and have posted a few articles and started getting ranked on google searches. I am so excited! My next steps are to continue posting articles and gaining frequent website visitors.
It does take time, but it is so worth it! The reason I started looking into work from home jobs is because I am interested in my own business someday, and I am unhappy with my current job. I am also in college courses for business management, and I am looking to start my own business someday!

More a personal preference than a suggestion - an image of yourself in the ABOUT page might make it more personal/human touch. Something like what Kyle did in his site:
