I figured that in today's blog post I would share what WordPress Plugins that I am currently using in 2018 on one of my blogs. Now this blog is monetized by Adsense and has less than a handful of affiliate links just to give you an idea. I am currently using the Skin theme. Anyway lets take a closer look at the WordPress Plugins that I am using in 2018

Ad Inserter - As I mentioned I use Google Adsense as a way to monetize my site and this particular WordPress plugin is essential. With Ad Inserter I am able to customize all of my Google Adsense ads in terms of where they will appear in my pages, posts and sidebars.

All In One Schema Rich Snippets - The All in One Schema Rich Snippets WordPress plugin is to give my articles and reviews more of a pop when they appear in Google. With the star rating and photos it gives you that little bit of an edge when it comes to attracting visitors to your site.

Amp - Amp stands for Accelerated Mobile Pages which makes this plugin a must for all websites that attract readers through mobile devices. It also does not hurt that Google loves AMP and gives a boost in SEO

Glue for Yoast SEO & AMP - The purpose of Glue for Yoast is to make sure that AMP is running properly. AMP can be a bit confusing at times so this particular WordPress plugin just makes it so you can set it and leave it

Google Analytics Dashboard for WP - The Google Analytics Dashboard is a must when it comes to tracking visitors to your site.

Insert Headers and Footers - I use the Insert Headers and Footers to place both codes from Google Adsense and Amazon Affiliate program as well as a couple of others. The last thing I want to do is mess with my themes code so this wordpress plugin definitely helps

Simple Sitemap WordPress Plugin - The Simple Sitemap allows you to create a HTML sitemap for your website that can be configured in a number of different way. I like this particular one as it is easy to use and provides my readers with a number of options

SumoMe - I just started using SumoMe as I was looking for a social network tool plus a number of added features such as a subscription list. With the reputation of this particular Wordpress Plugin I figured it was worth a shot

WP Smush - I like this particular WordPress Plugin image optimization as it is very fast and lightweight. Most of my articles have a number of images so this Plugin saves me a lot of space

Yet Another Related Posts Plugin - Is a Wordpress Plugin I have been using for a very long time. From the way it can group your posts and pages to giving your reader an opportunity to explore more of your site the Yet Another Related Posts is a fantastic plugin

Yoast SEO WordPress Plugin - I have always preferred Yoast SEO to over all of the other similar WordPress Plugins as it just gives you more options, it is always being updated and there sitemap plugin is among the best in the business. This is normally the first Plugin I install on each of my sites

Well there are the WordPress Plugins I am currently using in 2018 on one of my sites.

Thank you.

I'm glad to see you in the high 90's speed with so many plugins. These are wise choices!

thanks, everytime I try a new plugin I always watch my pagespeed over the next few days to see if there is a noticeable difference

Thank you for generously sharing your idea.

Glad you liked it

Excellent list! Especially the rich snippets one! I'm definitely going to check that one out! Thanks!

Chris

The rich snippets is perfect for a review site

This seems like a lot of plugins? Though must admit I like the sound of some and am using others like AMP and sumome.
Kyle warns us not to use so many plugins in his training?
I am very wary of adding more. What do others think and or do?
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

I always keep track of my site speed and its normally in the high nineties

Do we check site speed on the SiteManager, or is it found somewhere else?

I use the one in the sitemanager and the one in the link below

Thanks.

Just got 71/100 for a site that has NO content yet! That's quite concerning! I hope this isn't a problem with the paid theme. Goodness knows how I'm supposed to sort that out when it's not even a content issue.
