Show People The Stairway to Heaven, And They'll Still Ask For The Escalator.

I'm going to tell you, folks, something you probably already know:

PEOPLE.

ARE.

LAZY.

It doesn't matter how much you write, it will be too detailed. If you write too little, you "lack content". If you use words that are too big, "you're being a smartass". If your words are too simple, "you must think I'm stupid". I could go on and on.

A professional effort for the lazy is always going to be free labor

An amateur will bust their butts to fulfill every request from people like this, only to have a product they no longer recognize and not even the customer who made all of the suggestions wanting to sign up.

Does this sound familiar? It should! I'm sure that in the past, you might have even been one of those people. I definitely know that I have. I know, from an empathetic standpoint, that my motivations had nothing to do with actual suggestions and everything to do with me wanting them to make something more like what I would buy... even if I wasn't going to actually get it from them.

What about spending the time to write something in perfect instruction, with excellent readability, only for your friends, family, or some lazy prospect to tell you to "read it to them"? Being honest with yourself, do you really think they are going to listen if they won't read?

If they can't invest money, time, or effort in their dreams, then why should you?

Here's the thing about people: They are profoundly adept at making excuses, especially at the cost of others. When someone is determined to fail, you're only another stepping stone to that goal. To that end, it's easier to blame you for failing than it is for them to try for them to succeed.

Someone will spend 5 hours of their time going through all of your social media with the goal of "exposing" you, instead of trying to actually apply the formulas you are describing. I've had family who have laughed at me or straight up ignored me when I showed them my first eBook, only to ask me to build them a website when they notice I have visitors.

In my first week or so here at WA, my family wanted to have "meetings". Of course, these meetings were just excuses to blab about plans which they couldn't even stick to a week later. I decided it was better to just focus on myself.

Sharing dreams is awesome, but sharing dreams with lazy people can be very draining. You'll find yourself caught up in their backward, half-assed plans. You'll have to regress to teach them stuff they should already know. Even if you wrote the secret, they would want it whispered.

When starting off, and in moving forward, avoid people who drain your energy in this way. You'll not only find yourself discouraged, but you'll also find that you're burdened with the outcome of their success as well, which is just want most people want. That way, when something goes wrong, they have yet another reason to be losers.

Success does not free you from harsh judgment

A lot of people think that when you make your first big check, that "the whole village" will run out in open arms to greet you. All of your friends and family who had judged will be sorry, all of your past loves will come begging for you to come back.

That's what Hollywood shows us, anyway. The reality is that people actually will likely dislike you MORE when you succeed. People who had pretended to be your friends will probably very quickly turn on you. The family will try and estrange you if you aren't ready to support them with your newfound wealth. Your past lovers will make it a point to tell those around them how they dumped you.

The shape and point of the tooth

Nature does not know justice, it only knows balance. You will never get back the lost time and effort for supporting losers, no matter who they are. You will only find yourself embittered and trapped if you drag limp bodies out of the mud.

Therefore, in order to achieve your dreams, you must be a solo predator. Even in the snow, the tiger stalks its prey. Quietly, and with direct intent, the beast strikes. The top jaw represents the strength of will, the bottom represents difficulty and strife.

The top and bottom jaws meet to feast upon the sweet prize of victory. During this time, the rest of the surrounding tigers will always try and get a nibble on a kill they did not get themselves. The truth is, that hunters like that will always be mad that you left them the scraps.

Just food for thought.

I have been a solo predator for a long time, just not a lion or a tiger! This vessel is a King Cobra!

Lmfao i like that one

Excellent food for thought, Arviell! I'm going to have to chew on this for a while!

Happy 2021!

Surrounding yourself with like-minded people is the key for success!

Yes Arviell you always need a willing and supportive coalition. You cannot be EPIC with LAZY people. And sometimes it is hard to let go of some of those very people because they are either related or always in your orbit. Ultimately you can show the horse the water but you cannot make them drink. So as I have try to cut the dead weight and plow forward

Hugh

Seriously. You don't have to cut them off, but you don't have to drag them along, either! In the end, you'll be eating the steak dinners, that's all that matters.
