ARE YOU LOOKING FOR TIPS ON HOW TO WRITE KILLER SALES COPY?

Hey guys, it has been a while! I've been busy doing the usual research and just wanted to drop a quick article about my findings regarding creating killer sales copy for your website or business. As usual, I always share the goodies with the Wealthy Affiliate community.

I'm going to go very briefly into what Sales Copy is, the structure, and how you can use it to improve conversion rates from your traffic. Hopefully, you guys get some value out of this content. Without any further delay, let's get into it!

What is Sales Copy?

Sales copy, to be put succinctly is a text that intends to cajole a customer into buying a product or service. It's a very handy skill to have, even if you're not directly marketing a product on your website. Applying sales copywriting techniques to your general writing can make it easier to improve visual flow in a document as well, for example.

Sales Copy usually has reliable anatomy that you can apply. Usually, you'll have a question, pertaining to the main issue that you can solve for a customer with your product or service. The easiest way to think about this is "Car Salesman Ads".

Here's a good example of this:

"Does your current vacuum do a terrible job of cleaning your floors?"

The next followup to this is usually in the form of an introduction of your product or service:

"Well, try a Kirby Vacuum! Our vacuums have a 3,000 RPM motor, and quadruple HEPA filtration! Our machines are cast iron aluminum and carry a lifetime guarantee. The Kirby Sentria Vacuum is a lifetime investment, made of parts designed to last just as long."

Following this will usually be a forward pitch to the benefits the machine can offer to the casual observer. This is put together in such a way as to show the prospect what it would be like if they owned the item:

"With Kirby vacuums, your living room has never been so easy to clean.

A self-driving motor means that you'll never have to worry about pushing around the vacuum yourself, making cleaning easy and fun."

Once you have them sold on the benefits, you present your CTA, or "call to action". Your call to action is a directive that you intend to give to the prospect on how to proceed with their potential interest. These are usually active phrases. They will usually be in capslock and bolded. Some copywriters suggest the usage of brackets and arrows to enhance the psychological drive to follow the directive:

"[CALL US TODAY TO SCHEDULE YOUR FREE IN-HOME DEMONSTRATION!]>>"

Conclusion

There are so many more tips I can give about sales copy. However, it'd take a long time, lol! If you guys liked this article, feel free to hit that like button. Leave a comment and let me know if you have any tips and tricks to share with the community.

Take care for now!
