Four in the morning
Do you ever wake up and just can't go back to sleep? I woke up at two this morning and finally gave up and decided to work on some technical problems. Yesterday afternoon I was busy trying to re-do my links.....again....after they lost the tag to my associates ID over at Amazon.....again. In comes the grandson who is the computer whiz.....usually. I left my work and let him do his thing.
So this morning I still needed to redo my links. It is a little sickening to see all the click throughs and wonder how many sales you missed because your link didn't tag to your account. This is the second time this has happened. The first time I deactivated a plugin. This time I also deleted it. The tricky part is that last month and this month both, I had sales come in and then stopped. When you see just as many click throughs but no sales, something is wrong. I don't know if the plug in was hijacking my links or what was happening. Anyway, it is gone now.
Notice to Amazon Associates: make sure that you use only the links provided by Amazon unless it is a good trusted source. When you have traffic and click throughs to Amazon but few to no sales then you have one of two things wrong. 1 you are attracting the wrong kind of traffic or 2. your links are not working right. Contact Amazon and they can tell you if your links are tagging to your account.
Now it is late enough I need to stay up but finally got sleepy. Go figure.

I probably have because it has been off and on for a while now. Traffic and hits have increased but sales was off and on. Should have got back with them before now. On my side it looks like everything is ok. Before this started I was having sales every day or so. Then it would be several together and nothing for a week or more. Not normal for the traffic and clicks. Amazon converts better than that.

I really wonder about those links, I have a friend who told me she made a purchase using my link and it never showed up. Sorry you're going through this!
Get on live chat with Amazon and have them check to be sure that your links are tagging to your associate account. It can be formatted correctly but somehow just loses that tag. If so, you will need to redo your links.
