3 Apps I Use to Always Be Productive

These apps can be downloaded from an IOS or Android. For me, I have some downloaded on my iphone or macbook (or both)

1. Forest

I am someone who always think it's okay to just take a peek at my phone, but end up in a rabbit hole of scrolling messages and social media platforms before i even know it.

So i download an app called "Forest' to prevent me from even browsing my phone.

For instance, I've given myself 2 hours to push out a 2000 words blog post. So once i set a 2-hour timer, I will not be allowed to leave the app. I will have to lock my phone and switch off my wifi (optional) and only focus on my laptop cranking out my article.

If I were to exit the app to browse any apps, the 'trees' in my would die. But if i succeed in keeping my focus, more trees will be grown.

Over time, you get to accumulate coins with more trees grown. And the coins can be used to donate to an organization to plant actual trees to save our earth, how cool is that?

2. Taskade

I don't know about you, but I have to have my tasks planned out daily/weekly. It allows me to group my tasks/activities according to the priority, and different categories in a nice and clean interface.

If i don't plan my week, it will be a mess and i most likely wouldn't do anything productive!

3. Simplemind

I use this for content planning. It's a mind mapping app that allows me to have a rough plan out of what and how my article content would flow. It keeps me really organized and allows me to push out my ideas a lot faster.

Do you have any apps you use to stay productive? What are they?

Cheers,

Dexter 😊

Hey Dexter,

Thanks for your article! I saw the Trees app some time ago and really liked the concept. I may well download this as like you, I get easily distracted when writing blog posts.

I love to mind map too, but for now, my pad and pen is my preferred platform!

Have a great weekend!

Matt

Thanks for sharing, Dexter. These sound like great apps. I'll check it out.
Have a wonderful week,
Mickey

Interesting App, Dexter. First time coming across forest. I may just check it out.

Great apps. I might need to install Forest to keep me focused. Thanks for sharing.
Stay safe.
