Success without a Sale: Patience & Determination

SUCCESS!

Well, no sale quite yet. But a company has offered to send me a free salt lamp after reading my articles where I plugged their products. The great thing is I truly believe in the quality of their products and inserting links to their online marketplace did not feel like "selling" in the slightest. I truly feel it will help people knowing of this company.

And so, on top of that, they appreciated the article so much they offered me a little more than the sign-on bonus: an online voucher for a salt lamp! Here's the article if you're curious: https://musicalgrowth.com/himalayan-salt-lamp-benefits-the-t...

I've worked really hard in my life: receiving three degrees, writing my own hour opera, running my own orchestra/non-profit organization. But this is the first time I am seeing such potential in my hard work in such a short amount of time (I've only been here on WA for maybe 3 weeks).

Let's Get Real

I taught as an adjunct professor at Cal State University, Fullerton for a semester teaching music theory and ear training. It was my DREAM job. But at the start of this semester, low-enrollment forced the administration to take my Spring 2018 classes away and give them to another full-time professor (they have to, it wasn't anything I did). But the way they informed me of this really hurt me to my core (music programs are generally very unprofessional - the professors themselves are not to blame, I owe them a great deal).

Also, my non-profit orchestra (that I organized, wrote for and conducted) was the hardest project I had worked on straight for 2 years. But unfortunately the niche of live contemporary classical composition music was nearly inexistent (even though it adds cultural value to the community). So I decided to end the non-profit because I was not seeing any potential in increasing our revenue, which was a big blow to my morale.

Keeping Up Productivity

WA had given me something to hone my efforts on (and distract me from what I've recently lost). My wife continues to work night-shifts as an ICU nurse while I continue to sing at churches and teach around 20 private students. But we're in total $80,000 in debt from school and can't afford to buy a house here in Southern CA (moving out of state is also expensive). So not to sound like a "Debbie-downer," but the word "stuck" comes to mind when remembering my current situation.

Affiliate marketing has been my most recent project and I hope that things really start to take off. If this project really does work, I'll have so much gratitude to Kyle, Carson, Steve (IveTriedThat) and everyone here at Wealthy Affiliate. I'm determined to make this work and excited by its potential.

Every little success keeps me going - onwards and upwards!

Best of luck to everyone here! Would love to hear your success stories or any advice you can give me.

Thanks for reading!
