I'm at a complete road block when it comes to transferring a domain name to WA. I can't understand just what to do. Perhaps I'm trying to do something that isn't necessary.

Hi

You may transfer or point to WA servers (if transferring domain has to end in .com, .net or .org.

To update your domain DNS settings to point to WA. Here are the DNS settings.

ns1.mywahosting.com
ns2.mywahosting.com

These settings will be updated within your domain registrar (where you purchased your domain) after the transfer has taken place. To transfer your domain here you need login current registrar and fetch the EPP code, there's a one year charge of $15, privacy included. One year more will get added to your domain.

Also it has to have passed the grace period of 60 days.

However, if your site has content you need get in touch with site support for further instructions, I have left you instructions how to go about it in a previous question of yours asking the how.

Hope you are able to figure it out.

Would be nice to hear how you are getting along. Much obliged and best wishes.

When you have passed the wait period if your domain registrar has one..
You can change the DNS at your registrars website.

WA hosting DSN Servers
Enter the two WA Hosting nameservers

Primary: http://NS1.MYWAHOSTING.COM
Secondary: http://NS2.MYWAHOSTING.COM

Here's an example for Pointing GoDaddy Domain Name To WA Servers. Not sure where you purchased your domain name.

Probably the waiting period. I just paid and right away tried the transfer. Thanks. T

Hi - first of all, how long have you owned this domain? You can't transfer a domain until 60 days have passed since you purchased it.

How do I transfer an already made website to WA?

HI

I am assuming your site has content and therefore you need get in touch with site support for further instructions.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

They will ask you for the domain name and FTP (file transfer protocol) information.

They will upload to a siterubix and ask you to check if everything is okay, once you approve.

Then you are able transfer or point your domain to WA servers. Once that's complete, then they will utilize the move feature found within your site manager to move you siterubix subdomain to your dot com, when you are ready. It is a simple process.

You would need wait up to 30 days (Kyle's recommendation) for 301 redirects to be completed and for the search engines. After of which you may delete the subdomain however you could keep it for longer if hosting space is not an issue

You can check Kyles training tutorial below

Or you can migrate site yourself if you know what you are doing.

Here's a step by step how it is done. However please be aware you can only transfer a .com, .net and .org

Also it has to have passed the grace period of 60 days.

Would be nice to hear how you are getting along. Much obliged and best wishes.

I am assuming you mean a domain name that has a website built on it already.

Is you existing website using Wordpress? That is a requirement.

Create a support ticket with them and tell them what you want to do and they'll tell you exactly what you need. And don't be afraid to ask them for clarification if they ask you for something you don't understand, lol.

Your website name can be other when submitting the ticket..

Start here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Go to the Website tab then to site manager. Click the site domain tab and then you will see transfer a domain to WA

You would find this under your domain name dashboard, however if you are unable fetch you may contact registrar support or check their docs for instructions how to obtain.

Hope you get it figured out.
