A disadvantage of being Spock

The disadvantage of a dispassionate and coldly logical heart is borne out here in Wealthy Affiliate. Many years ago a young, brokenhearted Tayo decided that emotions were fundamentally useless. Already enamoured of Star Trek (the original series) I decided to model myself on Mr Spock. I may have over succeeded in this quest but for the most part, I see it as being a good thing. However, here on Wealthy Affiliate, I find that the comments which attract the greatest number of likes are those which best draw empathy from readers.
As I do not know how to emulate that kind of writing, I will always be at a disadvantage. This is neither a cry for help nor a weeping–upon–stony cold floors (which as I've said already, is not the sort of thing I do anyway). It is merely an observation and a prediction that people like me are unlikely to be able to rank very highly. So, if I fail to reach the upper echelons of WA, it's all your fault, not mine. 😉
Thank goodness that I know well how to keep a stiff upper lip.
