Set effective goals and get set for success

Do you believe that everything just happens by chance and there’s nothing you can do about it? If you answered “Yes” to that question, then please click away. This article is not for you. Am I being a bit unfair? That is not my intention.

This is a post about setting effective goals for your life (and business) and if you don’t believe that you can have an influence on where your life is heading, then I seriously don’t want you to be bored. Setting and better yet, achieving effective, exciting goals are what help us enjoy our lives. It’s what keeps us going. We set New Year’s resolutions on January, 1st, every year, because of this very reason.

Now I am not suggesting that you become a control freak and try to control everything in your life. There are many things that are out of your hands – the weather for example. But there are many that are within your control.

I am highly recommending that you have a plan, a goal, a system for those things. That way your future will be much less unpredictable. You will no longer float along on the whim of others and so passively accept a life that is not of your own choosing. By taking the time to write down your goals and actively create a system to achieve them, you set yourself up for success.

Do you have a plan? Are you living to avoid what you don’t want or are you brave enough to plan for what you want? You need to set compelling goals, so that your mind and your written goals become partners for success.
