Affiliate Mayhem

Life hasn't been the same since I took the plunge into Weathly Affiliate just a few short days ago. Needless to say, I got swept up in the excitement. I buried myself in the training and followed it step-by-step. I stopped by the chat room and said hi. Then I took all the vast knowledge I had gained in two days and tried to help other newbies find their way.

What? You want to open a niche on cameras? Hmm. A very big niche indeed. How about a niche on camera cleaning? Now there's a specialized niche. Call it cameradoc, cameramd, or sparklinglense .com. All right! The next day the.com sparklinglenses was swept up and she was on her way.

It feels good to help someone. No matter how little knowledge one possesses, it might be just enough to lend a hand. No matter our station in life, we are all capable of inspiring others.

I typed on furiously into the night. It wasn't long before my website had a glimmer of life. "Find some keywords" Kyle said. "Write a post." I was into in now. Smoke was coming off the keyboard. No wait a minute! That's smoke from my dinner burning. I rushed into the kitchen and threw the whole works into the sink and grabbed an apple.

I started to run back to my waiting keyboard and the smoke detector started blaring. Oh my God! What next! I couldn't find my step ladder, so swatted at the infernal thing with a broom until it came crashing down like a tiny, screaming UFO crash landing. It kept blaring. It was late at night. I must be waking the neighbors. I jumped on it with both feet. Twice. It finally stopped.

Remember, you should replace your smoke detector every few years.

On and on I typed, the words magically filling the screen. Time for another post, I thought sneaking a look at my watch. What the Hell! 3:30 a.m.! I have to get up for work in two hours!

IT'S A MARATHON, NOT A SPRINT!

It took me a day or two to figure it out. Yes, I let my enthusiasm get the best of me. Like most things in my life, I dove in headfirst without looking for the rocks just below the surface.

It's great to have a passion for something, but it's important to pace ourselves. The road to riches is a long and winding one. It's a long walk in search of the end of the rainbow. Patience and perseverance are the two keys that will guide us to the pot of gold that awaits.

There is an inherent danger of burning ourselves out if we push ourselves to hard in the early days. It's best to layout a framework pertaining to just how much we hope to accomplish each day, each month, and each year.

Biding our time will prevent mistakes, and if ever we want to get something right in this life, this is it.

Great article, man. I totally agree with you. Somebody a lot smarter than me said: The race is not always to the swiftest, but to those who endure.

wonderful that you realized that after only 2 days and 1 burned dinner :)
Did you bury the smoke detector?
We have all done this and hate to say it sometimes still do.
Deep slow breathes,be like the turtle not the rabbit and you will win, Consistent forward movement. The rabbit hops to and fro

It didn't take long to realize how easy it would be to spiral out of control.

Thank you for taking the time to comment.
