Be Focused Consistent, Persistent Keep Your Eyes On The Goal
Today I celebrate an enormous accolade, my heart is singing - I RECEIVED AN AMBASSADOR BADGE.
To share this momentous occasion please indulge me by reading a few things I have recently learned.
This requires that you be focused, consistent, persistent and keep your eyes on the goal.
When The Coach Instructs I Act
I have taken seriously the commitment made at the beginning of the year. It has meant putting aside other agenda's to focus on following the Coach to Make it Happen Not Let It Happen.
When The Coach drops an email or webinar with instructions, my schedule is set aside and I attend to completing the task.
With speed, I hope to have resolved major issues. I share these experiences as it may help you.
Prehistoric Relic Achieves The Impossible
We were instructed to check our website speed through https://tools.pingdom.com/. My results were dismal. I clicked a button copied the message and submitted a ticket to Site Support. In a flash and a blur they replied and I ruled out that as not being the problem.
Coach emailed me with a screen shot (this was coincidental) alerting to me of a problem with comments that I replied to. The same issue that I was trying to resolve now gave me a lead........
Ping! I realized it must be a setting in my website. The site was moved to the operating table and with a scalpel I went through the website hoping to locate the problem.
Now dear community as per my blog on 17th January 2018, I am a prehistoric relic and what might take some a few minutes will take this techie hours.
The feeling of elation and achievement when I located the problem has just been surpassed by receiving the Ambassador Badge.
In my profile page the URL for my website had a symbol that I had since changed to words! One website - two URLs. Oh my word what confusement has that caused on my website!
Another Issue Resolved Playing Ping-Pong
When I clicked on the squares below the results messages on Pingdom.com it came up with messages about Gravatar.
Having no clue what the messages meant I proceeded to Gravatar and realized I had not been logging out of Gravatar and now that I have it has improved the sites speed.
I will leave it up to a qualified techie to comment on whether this would have an effect the speed of the website.

There are decisions that I have made that now I think, What was I thinking!
Into the Certification Course, I suddenly decided that I would also do the Boot Camp Course. This does not work.
Focus on one thing until you are proficient at it.
Have the goal firmly set in your head.
Be consistent and persistent in sticking to the goal.
The best decision is joining Wealthy Affiliate. Each one of us is on the road to success.
Follow the Coach, listen, act, review.
May 2018 be the beginning of accomplishments never yet seen online!!!
I think I have resolved some issues, but it would be great to hear your opinion on issues I might still encounter.

I understand what you mean by taking a few hours when others can do it in minutes. I keep looking at my site health where it says it still needs improvement can't seem to find it. I now if i stay with it sooner or later i will find it. I enjoyed reading your post.
Not sure if this is what you are looking for.
On Site Rubix click on Site Manager. The front panel where you log in to your webwite comes up.
On the right hand corner is a coloured stripe red orange or blue. Click on site health and it will give you details.
There is plenty of training on SEO at Wealthy Affiliate. Jay has done a series of webinars on it.
It's either to jump around in an attempt to develop various skills, but there's a great discipline in following one course through completion.
Sounds as if you have really have made that decision to dive right in, Tania...not too shabby for a "prehistoric relic".

It is important. Below all the stats are boxes if you click on there, messages explaining issues come up. I too am still learning.
It looks like you found a problem and worked through it to find the solution. That is always a good thing. Focusing on one thing at a time is one of the big keys. Very good post you did hear. This one will do well on Social Media.

Very informative article, setting your goals and sticking to it is so important. I never realized that not logging out of gravatar would slow your site speed, good catch. I will have to keep an eye on my site speed and make sure I am logged out also

I am not sure about the fact on logging out of Gravatar was hoping someone knowledgeable would respond.
Have you checked your speed on pingdom.com.
I am still working out speed issues.

I have done a few checks on ping.dom and still getting reports on Gravatar slowing the speed, so my assumption about logging out is incorrect. It does not seem to make a difference.
Sorry for the misinformation. When I have managed to work out what is slowing my website down I will let you know.
