Perseverance Means More Than Endurance

I read these words today "perseverance is more than endurance". Is there a difference between endurance and perseverance?

Does it really matter when we seek to endure or persevere?

Come on folks am I just nitpicking - Does it really matter whether we focus on some word called "enduring" or another word called "persevering"?

Words do have meanings and our plans for success depend on how we think and act on our thoughts.

Endurance is - "the fact or power of enduring an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way."

Success in any venture begins with how we think--

When I think - I am just going to hang in there despite my failure I am thinking I am hanging on - enduring the pain of failure - I am holding on for better days!

Perseverance is different, it is - "steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success."

Perseverance is a step up from endurance. Endurance says "I am going to hold on anyway" OR "I am going to endure this moment looking for a better moment".

Perseverance says "I am going to move forward anyway". - I may be delayed by this setback or failure but I will find a way around it.

"You aren't going to find anybody that's going to be successful without making a sacrifice and without perseverance" - Leo Holtz

Perseverance will sacrifice to find a way!

One of my favorite quotes on this whole thought is from Dale Carnegie - "Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who kept trying when there seemed to be no hope at all."

I will admit that too often in my work to develop a successful website/blog that I try to just endure - waiting for the disappointing moment to pass. Looking to begin again.

I have endured - a lot of failures and a few successes.

I realize that I need to persevere - to keep moving forward instead of just hanging on in hope.

“Perseverance is a great element of success. If you only knock long enough and found enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody." - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

IN THE END, HOW YOU CHOOSE DETERMINES YOUR END RESULT!

Don't just try to endure, instead, seek to persevere.

We have a new week ahead my friends. A new chance to do better than last week.

Make your week great by persevering through whatever challenges and struggles you face.

Have a blessed week my friends.

Ray

Thanks for your share.
Yes, I would agree endurance and perseverance have a nuance of difference. For me endurance is more negative: I put up with something which I don't consider ideal. Perseverance is more positive. I look for a better way to endure.

Great quotes you included here.

I use the word perseverance in reference to a long term online business.

Have a great week yourself

One is more positive. Enduring takes more tooth grinding. Perseverence comes through smiling🙂 in my mind, I think they are 2 different things, but I'm mot one to argue semantics. Endurance is sturdy like a bull. Perseverence more like ripples fluidly through time. Both can pull through but if you endure with perseverence, you come through more gracefully. What do you think? It's for the moms who let their baby grow up to be a cowboy. Perseverence has more peace, sounds more positive. I let my baby grow up to be whatever he wants to be as long as he has love.

Perseverance is the ultimate no doubt.

Before that we believe comes Discipline and Consistency.

Awesome blog post, we loved it.

Thanks for a wonderful share.

Hope you guys are having a super blessed Sunday.
