My Wealthy Affiliate Journey so far

Well? I have been a WA member since January 2017. Pretty new I know but loving it despite my original misgivings. I have just loved all the learning. A big thank you to Kyle and Carson for all of their help. Really a thank you to all of the WA community.
I have not been as active in the community as I could have. I have been working on reading and learning as much as I could from lots of different sources. I have now got to the point where I think I know enough to be comfortable focusing more on my own development and production. Communication in the format that is required to be successful in WA was my biggest challenge.
I have
- joined WA as a premium member. Absolutely grateful for doing this. It has allowed me to have access to information and training that I have benefited from immensely.
- I took out an annual subscription to Jaxxy. Life saver right there.
- I set up my own website and domain name. Never in my life ever thought I would do this.
- I have seen so many different types of websites that I am amazed at the possibilities out there.
- I have joined discussion groups and set up social media accounts.
These are just some examples of what I have done. There are so many more that it would take the whole post to point them out. Needless to say, I hardly recognise myself sometimes. The way I interact with people has changed so much.
My niche is 'Self Discovery'. I have always been interested in the concept of really knowing myself and helping others do the same. I am not saying that I know everything about myself but I have learnt to appreciate what I do know.
The thing I think I am so proud of so far is learning to write. When I first started I didn't know anything and this was obvious i how I went aobut the writing process. Free writing, writing naturally, took a lot of practice. I am still learning to relax and let things flow but I am getting 'into the zone' more quickly now.
I still struggle with communcation, I find my reluctance is all about my confidence in what I know. I am still not sure that what I have to say is valuable to anyone. What I know now is that what I know will help someone, not everyone, but maybe just one. It is a start. I have been really excited to use what I have learnt to help my family. One of my proudest moments was during a discussion with my 23 year old daughter. Being able to listen to her, really listen, without having an opinion made her day. She said to have someone see her, really see her, was exactly what she needed. So happy. This is happening in so many situations, on so many levels that it has helped me believe more in myself and what I think
My plans for the next 3 months? Well I am going to work on getting traffic to my site. That is the big driver for me and what I have been researching for the last week. I have worked out a schedule of what I have to do and given myself deadlines. I will continue to add articles, 1 per week, but my focus is on building by traffic base.
In 6 months I will have
- 450 visits to my site per month.
- I will be signed up to 3 affiliate programmes
- I will be making conversions worth $250.00 per week
I only have these three and have given myself 12 weeks to achieve the first two.
