Taking My Own Pictures!
Hello Everyone,
Just a short post about my progress with images.
Some of you are aware of my struggle with taking my own images. Blurry, blurry, blurry.
There are many times that I have had difficulty finding just the right image. A soggy pie or runny pie. So I really needed to take my own.
I have been working on this and believe it or not I think I am improving somewhat.
I still need to work on editing my images. I am struggling on this. But here is a comparison. The one on the right was taken many months ago and I had this sad picture as a feature image on my website. The one on the left I took today. I had to bake this cake again just to get the image. lol
Still not the greatest. I think I need some practice
What do you think? Better?
Have a great day!
Tai

Hi Taianne,
Definitely an improvement. :)
If you're serious about this, you might consider buying a reflective backdrop and some lighting for your pictures. I did that when I was selling on Poshmark and it will get rid of those shadows in the pics.
I never mastered the great picture after buying that and a good dslr camera. I suspect that the objects I was photographing would move and make many of them blurry, but they were so fast no one would believe me and had the nerve to suggest it was my unsteady hands, Pfff
Best of luck on the continued improvement.
Regards,
Jason
When you improve, you will always get good pictures. And practice makes perfect.. you will improve tons.. great Tai
your improvement is clearly seen already Tai.
Original images, that capture bright colors, good natural light and interesting elements are what people like. keep at it
Getting the right shot is very time-consuming but worth the effort, especially when you have something really specific. Looks like you are improving. I think the lighting and angle enhances that nice cake. Keep at it.

Hey Tai, I believe the pictures were not blurry at all.
Both pictures were taken at different angles, so I really can’t tell the difference. But as they say, “Practice makes perfect “
Similarly with blogging, taking pictures will be the same. The more you do it, the better you become!
Cheers,
Maria 🌹
When the two images are zoomed in for a closer look, they are indeed fuzzy. From a distance, at this size, they look good. However if the image were any larger, you would see what I mean.

Hi Tai, the first one is better than the second one. It looks delicious. I am curious about what devices you were using for your photos. Your phone or a digital camera? Yeah, editing images take a lot of work. What do you use for that? I use Canva and PhotoScape X for Mac. I like taking my photos too.
