Burning The Midnight Oil
So I have been working almost non-stop on my website. Like many here, I have had a drastic drop in traffic, almost to the point that I had thought about giving up.

But I decided to put on my big girl pants and get to work. I have put my head down and have been working on my Pinterest account. Just a little frustration there. I was up until 4:30 a.m. designing pins and only managed to design 10 in 5 hours.
I would love to hear if anyone has any suggestions or a great system for doing this faster.
I have also managed to write and publish 24 articles since August 5th. A record for me. The one who has in the past only managed to write and publish 1 to 2 articles a week. A big improvement there.

I have not had any problems with indexing, which is great. One of my newer articles is on page 1, 2nd position on Yahoo but is on the 3rd page in Google. I have not checked any of the others.
I only checked on that article because my daughter found out that she has a persimmon tree and was wondering if you could eat the peel. Which, of course, was the subject of that particular article. I can see that she doesn't read them :(
I haven't been taking many pictures lately, as I have been able to find what I need on Canva.
The new website is on hold. Shoot, I can't keep up with the one. Why in the he** would I want to start another one? Hahaha
Well not much else to say, so I will get busy this morning designing more pins for Pinterest and starting a new article. I have the keyword. I just need to get the outline, research, and write.
I hope you all have a great and productive day.

Hi Taianne, I have also taken a kick in the butt regarding traffic and there are days when I sit here and question myself about what I am doing and whether this will work for me. But then, my little voice in my head (and trust me, we all have one, that voice of self-doubt) will tell me to keep moving forward. I too started a second website and it soon became apparent to me that I had bitten off more than I could chew, so I knocked that website on the head and focused solely on the one. Pinterest & the Visual Social Hemisphere Keep moving forward, all the best.
Excellent news to hear on the writing progress Tai!
Many have taken hits on the traffic front recently but stick with it my friend and I am sure things will turn round again soon!

When I saw this title, It dawned on me I had a similar title, written back on April 5, 2023; "Are You Burning The Midnight oil"
Of course, I pulled up my article and I made a content comparison to yours. (At least, I saw you changed the content somewhat to fit your voice. Which is a good thing.)
But remember as we blog, we must always remain creative within ourselves, using our own voice regarding title & content.
No problem. All is good
There are over 10,000 articles written from the term burning the midnight oil and you can be sure none of them are taken from your idea.
The term came about early in the 1700's and it referred to lamps using whale oil. Whale oil burned dim and it had to be lit a long time before it released its full light. This was way before any idea could be plagiarised and that protection only goes back to the early nineteenth Century
