i need some help deciding between 2 similar-but-different domain names.
i had spent ages brainstorming domain ideas, the result of which was me finally settling on:
I think the 2nd one is better. You want it to sound like a blog that others can do something with.
Choosing a domain name is a challenging game for any one, your second one looks good, so go for that one, it all comes down to gut feeling, I've been looking for another domain name for my www.sleeves.mybigcommerce.com website, I have spent countless hours and yet not really rang a bell for me until now as I was looking through tumblr and I came up with SQRTee, sort of short for "square tee" why SQR, it seems to look rite and it's easy to remember, people will of course know it as squaretee as time goes on, I have just registers it
cheers footprints10, yep i went with the 2nd one, seems to be the people's choice! i like your idea for your site name, SQRTee, its catchy, short etc. im sure it'll do well, good luck to you! :)
thanks for your help Dennis and Montie, I will go with the 2nd one! i think i can always transfer to the other if i change my mind, but its really much of a muchness! :D
Hey Sylvia. After reading what you said, you appear to have answered your question & made the decision within your thoughts. Do you want your service to focus on you or about what you are offering as a service? You said:"The 2nd places more focus on the blog itself", and "It just isn't my style to put myself so 'out there'." So what do you get from that? I get your 2nd choice as the way to go.I'm sure you will do great whatever you decide,so the best to you, smile, & have a great day!
Greetings Sylvia! Personally I like the second choice. It sounds a bit more professional to me. JMO.

Hi Sylvia - I feel the opposite to you I think the 2nd one places more emphasis on you and it has a better ring to it. Just my opinion.
Hey Sylvia,
I think you can go with the coin toss on this. They are similar and in the end it's your content that is going to matter more than the name itself.
Best Regards,
Jim
cheers Jim, you're right....and i'm pretty sure i can always transfer to the other of the 2 domains if i change my mind.

To make it a submenu so it appears under a parent menu, in the menu structure field click on the page and drag it to a position under the parent menu, then move it in the to right. It should drop into place indented underneath the other page. That will make it a sub menu that will drop down when you mouse over or click on the main menu.
fellow Aussie to the rescue, thank you Michael, that worked! I didnt know you could drag it across slightly to make it a sub-item...so easy! Cheers :) Sylvia
You try go to your "Appearance"
Select "Menus"
Tick the pages you want to appear on your site.
Then Click the box " Add to Menu"
I hope this can help you. All the best!

Hi Sylvia If you log in to your site go to pages then look at the page you are talking bout does it say Draft like this below?
Become an Affiliate. - Draft
Edit | Quick Edit | Trash | Preview
Hi Andre, no, it doesnt say draft, ...further to the right hand side it says Published because i did publish it, but hasn't seemed to show up yet. I will next try Cena's suggestion above. Also, this issue first happened last night and i thought it might fix itself overnight with the logging out/PC shut down etc...but no such luck. I'm sure I'll figure it out soon enough! Cheers
Hi Again Sylvia are you trying to put the Affiliate Networks as a sub menu to the main Affiliate marketing menu. The way you have it now on your site is as if it is it own menu. if you want the marketing menu as a sub menu rather than having it directly underneath just click and how and move slightly to the right then release. You will also see the work sub within the box.
