Go To Where The Puck Is Going To Be

I love a good analogy

Paraphrasing Wayne Gretzky here....don't go to where the puck is, go to where it's going to be. I heard that on the radio today and thought "what a great analogy for my WA journey".

Let me step back a bit to the start of this trip. I had a subject that I was passionate about and I had no idea what to do with it. I could sign online petitions, I should shop with my conscience but other than that I was stuck, until WA came along.

Baby steps

Here is where things got interesting. I somehow found WA after almost getting sucked into a competitors' huge cost enrollment affiliate program. Thank goodness I said "No" and moved on. I found WA and immediately got to work creating my passion project. I needed to be able to go "where the puck was going to be" and all of a sudden I had the tools, training and support to get me there. The hardest thing for me to do was take the baby steps, follow the training (which I'm still doing) and trust I would find that puck without skating right past it.

Feeling proud

My site still needs a lot of work but I'm pretty proud of where I am with it. I underestimated how much content I would have and how much time it would take to get it all in. My type A personality hasn't helped me much as I'm constantly going back and tweaking existing material. For those of you struggling with the same thing I started using DIVI as a plug in and it really has made my life simpler. I'm blown away by the fact that I have a website and my son asked me when I had learned to code hahaha.

Where's the puck going to be?

Good question, honestly I have no idea, YET. Is it when I finish the main content or when the site starts to make money or if I've educated a dozen people to help bring change? Maybe it's all the above. What I do know is that I'm in Level 4 of training, I have a website called https://thecrueltyfreeface.com and I'm doing what I can to spread the word, educate on the prevalence of animal testing in skin care, cosmetics and personal care and to provide alternatives. I have some wonderful Affiliate companies that are doing amazing work and I'm proud to represent them.

Yet....

What a great word. I like it because to me it screams possibilities. I'm not ranking high YET, I haven't finished my site YET, I haven't made money YET. With hard work and perseverance I'm getting there. Do I know where that puck is going to be? Not YET but I'm in the game and enjoying every minute of it.

Best regards everyone,

Sydney
