Boxing is often misunderstood by most people who don't know the sport. Boxing is a metaphor for life and is used by several entrepreneurs out there as well as everyday people. No matter where you are in life, what country you're from, what challenges you're facing, you have to box your way through, and you have to be willing to get knocked down and life doesn't begin to change until you get back up. Recovering from a knock down isn't easy, but those who get back up often come back stronger and with a better plan. Boxing in itself is a great sport that requires tremendous discipline, patience, a strong mindset, strategy and technique. It's a beautiful art in which combatants display finesse, grace, agility, great reflexes, and sportsmanship. It isn't just about throwing hands with someone, any fool can slug it out. The difference between boxers and average Joes is that boxers pick their punches, have graceful technique and defense which when put all together it's like one big art of the human body, a beautiful dance, choreography. Street fighters just throw wild shots, have no technique, they miss and gas out, it looks ugly. Like Rocky explained to Tommy Gun in Rocky 5, boxing is 10 percent muscle and 90 percent in the skull :D It is 90 percent mental, boxing is a strategy game like chess, if your not a smart fighter and use that brain chances are you won't succeed in the sport. I don't know about it being 10 percent muscle, I'd say it's more like 50/50 maybe 40/50 but yeah both the body and mind need to go through a lot of conditioning and transformation. I pray and meditate often as well as do plenty of reading, and I also watch videos and listen to audio that will help me stay motivated, driven, and increase focus. I learn a lot by listening to audio and watching other athletes train, I study other fighters movements and utilize what works for me. Overall boxing is a great way to get in shape, and stay in shape :D while improving your overall health and increasing strength, coordination, agility, conditioning. It's a great confidence and courage builder so if you ever thought about trying it out go for it and transform your life and impress the ladies, or men or at least some men, I find it a turn on when a woman can kick some ass.
