WA Blog? What Is It?

Today I woke up. I had a breakfast and it was a great breakfast. Afterwards I took a shower and then checked my email. I then went into the living room and decided what to do today. Afterwards I turned to watch a show.

What's the point of me writing the above text? Well, I've become confused. I don't know what to write about on the WA blog. Back three years ago I would write about and read success stories on WA. I also would read different ideas on how to move forward with training. Now, I find myself reading stories about what people had for breakfast, who in someone's family past away or how to cook knockworst. The WA blog has become Facebook.

Not to slam anyone wanting to share their personal stories about private lies but its a bit discouraging to read these off the WA topic blogs. They don't really seem to fit the theme of what this platform is about. Maybe I'm mistaken. I love to share stories, personal issues and even my fantasies about surfing perfect double overhead waves. But there a place for that. Facebook or my VA therapist.

Again, not to slam on those who love sharing personal stories involving your cat Bob that just turned 26 or your grandmother who is taking judo lessons at 94, but I wish we could go back to using the WA blog to post WA relevant content. Thoughts on this?

Thanks for this post. I have been wondering this myself as a newbie as there are some very helpful blogs and others that seem like friends sharing their lives (small and big events) on social media.

It's a lonely world for some I suppose. I.don't pay it much attention. Nice profile btw. Best of success 2u.

Very thought provoking and understandable, I also echo the comments made by Snazzy below. My own view is that my weekly blog is about what I have done the previous week mainly linked to activities in the WA, with if thought needed, a little about what I have done on a personal front, such our Golden Wedding at the beginning of the month.
To me a blog post is a healthy mix of both, problems you have faced or solved thrown in.

I understand you more than I feel lol, but for some out there this is the only place they can write their stories. However, I first started off not wanting to write because I didn't believe in my own writing capabilities but as I started and got audience to my blogs, it gave me a sense of confidence. I felt safe. I also, found some personal blogs motivating.

On saying that, now that I am mature and realise that everything I post here gets Google ranked, I start to hold back on writing my personal stuff and now trying to focus on why I am here and offer a few tips to WA community learning.

I realise now also, that WA owns anything I add, and I cannot add it in my own site, so that again impacts on my blogging here.

I believe it is all about maturing because you soon just ignore blogs that are not adding any value, and decide what to or not do. You sort of see the bigger picture as you grow here. You ever wonder why older members hardly blog?

You raise some good points. I also think that the WA blog is a good way for people to gain confidence in their writing skills. This will help them develop better content for their websites. As they say, practice makes perfect.

I have also learned to recognize members that I don't care to read their WA blogs, and, sadly, their training. And at times, wish there were a thumbs down voting button.

Lol me too sometimes I wish there was a cancel liked button. However that will affect the ranking algorithm ☺️

Great insight. Thanks
