Looks like my time to give up my Premium membership is drawing to a close. I have been here for 3 and a half years and feel like I may be just wasting time or treading water here. Have I had success? Yes, but not a whole lot due to factors which may be because of my stubbornness and getting distracted. I have a boot camp website with over 400 post, decent traffic and referrals sign up randomly. Problem is I'm not feeling it anymore. To promote and gain commissions at the higher rate means I have to.stay a Premium membership. And up till now for the past two years I have been able to pay the membership with my commissions. But like I said I.feel my website is stagnent. It's missing something and I'm not really interested in clawing and scraping to figure it out. I haven't made enough to put food on the table so leaving won't change anything.

it's been a fun ride though. I have met a lot of cool people, learned a lot and learned a lot about myself. So, I am leaving for now and won't be renewing my membership after my last Premium referral drops which I.would suspect will happen relatively soon. My website? I don't know. Maybe sell it, trash it or move it to a new hosting service. Thanks for the ride. Peace.

PM me if you sell your site.

Mark

Why not let that site stew for a while and start another niche site? It might give you some motivation to keep on rocking. Just a thought since its already paying for your membership.

Good luck with whichever route you take.

Sorry to see you go. Good luck with future endeavors!

I totally get where you're coming from. Ive been here 2.5 years with 350 posts on my bootcamp site with little results.

But i promised myself that as long as my organic traffic is increasing i will keep pushing. And my traffic had been increasing, albeit only growth by 5 to 10% its still something.

However this month things been going backwards. In april i had 2500 organic sessions yet this month im back to 1500 which was what i had in January, despite me posting at least 5x a week, these posts i spent a lot of time and energy on. Im just speechless.

However i think ill give it one last push. Ill write another 100 posts giving my 200% effort. Ill look at whoever is ranking #1 for that keyword im writing about and do everything they're doing and more. If after all that im still going nowhere then im going to throw in the towel.

Yeah its hard to crack indeed. I know another guy on here who has 300-400 posts and still only has 4 premium referrals for the whole year. Another lady has 250 posts and is making about $200-$300 a month, but has been making that for the past 6 months and progress is stagnant.

For every success story like Little mama's there are so many others who despite putting in the same kind of effort just for whatever reason cannot find the same kind of success.

I decided to start a niche site and ditch the bootcamp one. I went from 100 visitors a day to just 30 now. Just one step forward, 2 steps back. Apparently I got some kind of google penalty, but I dont even know why. I'm done

Just guessing based on the sharp decline of my post's ranking and traffic in the past week. This doesn't look like normal fluctuations. Its like a big line going straight down. I'll include a screenshot of my google analytics.

If your traffic went from 210 to 120/130 how is your posts's rankings? Did they drop too?

No just getting worse and worse every time i check.

Hmmm...400 posts and decent traffic are not bad stats. That's a lot of diligent work, which is one of the things that leads to success. Patience is another vital key to success. So the success you desire could be much closer than you expect. It's ultimately your choice, but I hope you reconsider and hang around here awhile longer.

If you choose to leave, I wish you all the best. :)

Sorry to see you go, but decisions like this are intensely personal and you know what is best. I would suggest you offer the website for sale as it sounds like you would not want to maintain it if you switch it to another hosting service.

I have not made $ here, but have not been here as long as you have, I do feel that I am getting value through the training here and I am happy with that at present.

Best of luck.

Hi David - You may be 3 feet from gold :)

The guy is 400 posts in and barely making enough commissions to cover his wealthy affiliate membership fees. Sounds like hes more than 3 feet from gold.

Stranger things have happened in this industry

Sounds like your mind is made up, but if the site already earns enough to pay for your WA why leave since it really isn't costing you anything.

I'm sure you know, you have 30 days to move the site and once you're premium you can not go back to a free starter membership.

That means you will forfeit the premium members commissions that joined your network if you have any left.

I wish you all the best.
John
