Review 2014 – Time To Change My Life

Review 2014 is not only embarrassing but also invigorating. Chris has already published his and my sincere advice to you is to please read his 2014 review. White you are there, you can even download a spreadsheet tool to do your evaluation and review.

So, Chris, complying with your request here is my review. Nothing special, but put together rapidly, due to lack of time.

What went wrong in 2014?

Almost everything. That is the short and precise answer to the above question. No leisure! Work kept me tied down for too many hours per day and the weekend was spent in recuperating from the fatigue earned during the week. Everyday brought new surprises which ended up in endless working hours. However, those working hours did not get translated into more income. Officially, I could take a few days off thus compensating for the overtime. However, practically, I could not, as the office was understaffed.

Hours stretched into almost endless ones and the amount of work meant foregoing lunch and rest. By the time I reached home, I had no energy left for anything. So I had to leave my music practice, singing practice and reading, as well. Hope of relief at work vanished and to add to the woes, my colleagues handed in their papers, leaving the team weak. Then, all of a sudden my contract got terminated. A broken relationship was the last wound to be inflicted. It is clear that I need to change my life, I need to become financially independent.

What went well in 2014?

Almost everything. No, I am not out of my mind. Everything that went wrong, in fact led me to a decision. It was time I took steps to become independent. Being at the mercy of others is something I simply cannot tolerate. It keeps me hemmed in, chains me down and prevents me from growing.

One single term revolutionised my thinking. One single term and three chance discoveries happened almost in consecutive succession. By nature I am a rebel and at times this rebellious nature can take on a blind nature. This comes from my own turbulent life, into which I shall not venture here.

Sean Ogle’s email with a question pointed unceremoniously at me, fanned a fire from a spark dormant in me. It was his term Location180 which lead me on to discover his LocationRebel . The term SEO was unknown to me but it soon got me feverish, as I have an inborn love of writing. It is this need for writing that lead to start my second blog The Rebellious Voice. At the same time, through Sean, I discovered Chris and Glen. Go ahead and read all those sites.

The first result of jumping into this triangle (Sean , Chris, Glen) was my website, SUPATH my foray into the world of Search Engine Optimisation, fondly called SEO. Keeping close to reality and using the motivation I got from my motivator triumvirate SUPATH was set up to promote SEO articles dedicated to my profession, freight forwarding (air freight).

My next encounter was Wealthy Affiliate. (If any reader wishes to join please use click here ) , a community of young and old people, beginners and experienced hands, all lending a helping hand. There are tutorials and guidance available. My primary loyalty is to Sean and Chris, who gave me and still give me the courage. Kyle, at Wealthy Affiliate motivated me to split the “contents” of SUPATH. The air freight theme was kept on SUPATH and entrepreneurship aiming for financial and social independence lead to the creating of this site you are reading.

Conclusion Review 2014

So all the failures in 2014 are m stepping stones to success on the path of SEO, on my journey into financial independence . There are no money bags offered but eye openers, motivation, themes and as we at LocationRebel say blueprints for starting your own business. Thus 2014 launched me into the new journey.
