MEDIUM: My first 100 followers (without actually moving a finger!)

Let's talk about MEDIUM!

I started my journey on Medium last December, with the main goal to rank my blog posts for my art prints business and create a brand around my name.

It was love at first sight! I always loved writing (I studied Creative Writing at University, and then forgot about those skills becase "you know, life!") but Medium is filled with ideas, creative energy and a lot of inspiration, so I wrote in January almost 15 stories and gained my first 7 dollars!

Then, the unexpected happened: Medium blocked my account and thousands of other accounts on January because they were fighting all the scammers who were flooding into the platform.

I got my account back after they evaluated it carefully but SOMETHING INSIDE ME WAS BROKEN. I deleted all my stories because of the disappointment and forgot to have a Medium account.

But something magical happened... some readers who were following my drawing and painting tutorials wrote me they were missing my content. Wait, what??? So, I started thinking to give a second chance to Medium.

I uploaded 4 stories only and focused on something else.

What happened in the months I did not move a finger on my account:

• Medium drove traffic to my blog posts and FOLLOWERS
• My Etsy shop (the link in my bio) received a lot of free traffic
• My blog posts were ranked on Google

Today, while checking the account again, I saw I reached 101 followers, without any real action by my side since months, but one story I published this month.

So, Medium is worthy your enery investment, mainly to create a COMMUNITY and RANK WELL.
