Mission Accomplished
Where I am, we have to get an emission test on our car every 2 years. You can NOT make an appointment for this. It is first come, first serve. I normally procrastinate on getting this done but decided today that I would GET IT DONE!
I got to the garage and pulled in. Anyone pulling in back of me would have been in the street. I counted the cars ahead and figured 15 min/car so maybe 1 ½ hrs to sit in my car and wait. I brought a book and had my phone to go through emails. After the rain stopped, I put my windows down for a breeze since I’m VERY hot and sweaty by now.
Well now evidently the bugs decide it’s time for their lunch. I swear I heard: “Hey, there’s an all you can eat buffet in that silver car!!!!!” I’m seriously a bug magnet!
Two and ½ hrs. later, my car is FINALLY in the shop, I’m nursing my NUMEROUS itchy welts and within 5 minutes my car is done and I’m on my way home. Mission Accomplished!
WA moral of the story: I don’t know anyone that likes to wait but sometimes it’s a must. So, when we join WA, we hear this and agree yes, we are prepared to wait. We start building our site then little pesky things get in the way (ie websites aren’t indexing automatically, we get writers block etc). It’s taking WAY longer than you signed up for but you finally get a breakthrough. You’re a tad worse for the wear but get a sale. Mission Accomplished!
Was it worth it? Only you can answer that. Yet, you could not have decided to turn and say, I don’t want to do this. How many of us have done this -- left and came back? Look where we could have been.

I would have turned around and looked for another inspection place when I saw the long line
I would have if that was a viable option. There's only a couple places here that do emissions. The other place (where I normally go for work) said if I came, it wouldn't be done that day. I'd have to leave my car. They're really the best so they get full quickly. So, I was stuck.
The check engine light on my truck has been on for 4 years and they won't give me a sticker. Something about an oxygen sensor but it runs fine. To fix it would cost well over $300. I find somebody selling stickers a d buy one every year for $40

Debbi, I like your "Get It Done" attitude. Here in VA is the same with the emissions, every two years, and I like to do it quickly. Yes and as we signed up our contractual agreement with WA, we made a deal to pay and wait for good things to come. This is the right way to start any business online. Have a good weekend.
