Are you thinking of BitCoin? It is not.

It is not the US$.

Its not the the Russian Rouble.

It is not the Chinese Yuan either!!

It is a coalition of two strange soft currencies and they are “Attitude and Attention”.

According to Carl Jung, Attitude is a "readiness of the psyche to act or react in a certain way”.

One of the dictionaries define it as “a manner, disposition, feeling, position, etc., with regard to a person or thing; tendency or orientation, especially of the mind.”

And this Attitude is not in-born, but it can be learned over a period. This depends on a variety of factors such as environment, bringing up, one’s psychological make up and the individual’s ability to learn from situations both from past and present. It is hard to teach attitude, but can be learned, at will.

This currency is critical one on a day-day basis on any tasks that you do.

The next currency is Attention.

The psychological definition of Attention - it is the behavioral and cognitive process of selectively concentrating on a discrete aspect of information, whether considered subjective or objective, while ignoring other perceivable information.

Some of the other generic and simple definitions are:

It is the act or faculty of attending, especially by directing the mind to an object.

It is a concentration of the mind on a single object or thought, task or activity.

It is the capacity to maintain selective or sustained concentration.

While these two currencies independently may not mean much.

For example: You can have a good attitude towards anything that does not matter. You may have a good attention on everything in life and it does not matter.

However, when you decide to pursue something of value to you or others for good or higher good, the combination of Attitude and Attention is dynamite on steroids.

Your Attitude helps you become more consistent in effort and persistent towards your goals and your Attention helps you to focus single mindedly and discard distractions. Especially in today’s world Attention is very scarce due to overwhelming noise around you. For example: Social media and mobile and electronic toys.

Focus = Attention - Distraction

Attitude and Attention are muscles as well. The more you exercise them, the more they become flexible, adaptable to new situations and become part of you.

The only tool that can allow this to happen is taking ACTION. No other tool comes near to this.
