Just a Heartfelt Thank-You

You folks are so encouraging, and I am so proud and happy to be a part of this community!

I have had a series of personal losses befall me in the last couple of weeks or so (lots of deaths of people very close to me, particularly). Sometimes it never rains unless it pours, as the saying goes.

I am somebody who knows that trials and tribulations are what strengthen and better us, and not actually proned to discouragement. But I must admit that it all nearly got the better of me, and has set me back, since I haven't posted an article on my site in nearly 2 weeks.

With the encouragement of you all, I have remembered that there is something more important than my fear of failing, and other obstacles, and courage will get me to that something, which lies beyond the fears.

So just thank you, and God bless you all. :)

Craig

You are welcome Craig!

Craig My Friend,
My heart hurts because your heart hurts!

I admire your attempts to self-talk the pain away. No knowledge can stop the sense of loss. It is right to feel the loss of precious people in our lives. Tears help heal the heart.
God Himself shares your hurt. Prayers surround you, Craig. May you have peace in His love for you.

Give yourself time. When you are ready to return, we eagerly welcome you to WA family table again.
We also await the hope of Him yet to come, and end this cycle in the land of the enemy!

Caring friend,
Shirley

Thanks so much, Shirley. Honestly, from all the great consolation I keep getting, I keep feeling like I should be feeling a lot more grief than I do. I'm sure I've processed it all, and am feeling pretty good. I think there has just been so much death lately that I have just come to terms with it, and that this is going to be the norm very soon. Grace of God, for sure.

I very much appreciate the love, and I hope you are doing well.

And it is very good to hear from you again!

I am happy to hear from you, and that you are taking it all "in stride." I do hope that "The Norm" is overturned in a blaze of glory!
As we move into last days, things will not be easy. He is preparing us to fully trust in HIM!
I have had a tough 2 weeks. Today was pretty good, but very long, with about 30 minutes total sitting down before I returned home from nearly 11 hours working. Tomorrow will be a shorter day. Then blessed Sabbath!
Take care, Craig!

Shirley

Yes! Agreed!

Glad to hear tomorrow will be better. I have had jobs that were like that. I'm sure this is just a "season", and that it will change soon.
Blessings to you, Shirley.

Yes, Craig, It is for my benefit. I would be "stoopid" to quit. I find myself stronger than I was when I arrived. I am learning new things, having to learn greater tolerance and trust....God is working me over, and it is good for me. I have recently felt like quitting, but I think I will complete the next 2 months. believe that some of the issues are beginning to work out, too.

The worst trials I have been through have shown me what I am made of, and how much faith I actually have. The most blessed times I have known. They were usually very short and intense... but when I came out of them I was immediately certain that I was better for them.

This conversation with you impresses on my mind what Jesus had to go through to make salvation possible. He could have quit, but I believe he never once let that thought lodge in His mind. For our sake! It strengthens my resolve. Thanks for your encouraging words, as well. Happy Sabbath beginning! Be blessed!

...for the joy that was set before him...

Hard to keep the bigger picture in mind, these days, for anybody.

You keep me encouraged as well!

Thank you for the reference to Heb. 12:2. You are right! Holy Spirit connection....
Today there are many spirits, found in forests, caves, bottles, people....and The Book of books.
Only the H. Sp is worthy of a presence.
Something makes me think that if we were in the same room, we could enjoy some great conversations and discussions.

I am lacking that, the last couple of years. I have become jaded with church and church people, but I do have the one on one from time to time, and afterwards I really remember the importance of it.

You would laugh if you saw what I was doing right now. My feet develop crusty calluses on the heal, which ruin fine socks and sometimes crack open. I soaked my feet in ACV (cider). Now I am using the only tool at hand to scrape the softened callus away.
I found a kitchen grater quite useful in more than one way! Ha. Necessity...invention.

'Atta girl! I'm totally impressed!

I said YOU would laugh. I find it is you that MAKES ME LAUGH.
I love the chuckles....I NEED the chuckles. Thanks!

Sometimes it seems like the whole world is against us, but if we muddle through, things will clear again. I am so glad you have been able to find the encouragement you needed. We are all in this endeavor together, and any time we can help each other, that is a good thing.

Sorry you have had such a sad time in your life lately. I hope you will find a corresponding joy that will heal your wounds. This community is certainly a place that can help, as folks here are ready and willing to help.

Thanks, my friend. I am feeling pretty good. Blessings to you.

Sorry to hear about your buddies my friend. Craig, you are a survivor. Keep on keeping on,.
Stephen

Thanks, Stephen.
One of the deaths was my stepfather, who had been suffering with serious dementia for a couple of years, so it was actually kind of a relief for everyone, I think.

God Bless you, Craig, and I am sorry for your losses, my friend!

Jeff🙏

Much appreciated, Jeff. God bless you, also.

You're very welcome, Craig!

😎🙏
