A New Site Content Overhaul?
I'm pretty sure I heard they were working on overhauling the Site Content platform.
Is this true?
I hope so.
Things are sort of geared towards you having to use it, But it is so full of glitches that add up to a lot of wasted time and frustration.
Some of it may be on my end, I will say, in giving it the benefit of the doubt.
And maybe these concerns are better directed "higher up"...?
I thought I would ask the community first, if they also experience these frustrations on a daily basis.
I suppose a person could use another program to write in and then just copy and paste it all in, after the fact? But ultimately, it would be handy if these glitches were fixed, as I see it.
Your thoughts are much appreciated.

I'm relatively new but yes I find it very operationally frustrating.
My idea is that everything should work like it is supposed to and this certainly has it's moments of not doing that.
There are several ways that it has frustrated me, for far too long, in a basic operational sense, lol.
Site content is still pretty good for loading lots of images into your block editor gallery.
Also can be handy if you want to make a easy save of your posts.
Stephen
Yes Stephen the principle of it is excellent and some things like you mention work really well.
I have not noticed.
I often write directly in WordPress, because if I write in the site content, I need to convert to blocks once I send it to my website.
I do like site content, for templates.

Right. There are things about it I got used to, but didn't take into account how many ways it was hindering me. I'm a creature of habit, I guess. :)
Hi, Craig
I don’t use site content. I do everything in the block editor and custom create most of my graphics. The others I get from Canva.
When I used the content editor I didn’t have any issues.
I also heard it will be upgraded but I don’t know for sure.
You should use whatever you’re most comfortable with to create your content.

Hey, Frank. It is starting to seem like I should bite the bullet and learn to use block editor, lol.
If you like using the free photos in Site Content, you can create a document and choose them, then save and close the doc.
Open a new post in the Block Editor and start writing. Your photos will all be saved in your Media Library.

I write all posts straight onto my website I found it was easier right from the start. On the rare occasions I write a post on here I write it directly onto the page, add graphics and publish.
