Keyword, Niche and Market Research

I want the data for US keywords not the local data from the country I reside.

No I do not think you can get a specific area from it. Most keyword research tools are internet wide.

Thanks, but I'm sure the search volume returned on my keywords is so low that WA keyword must only be pulling data from my own country (NZ) and not from the USA dataset. If I want to market to US customers I need accurate data from the US as this data may be completely different from my local (NZ) data.

What is your keyword since I am here in the US I will see if it the same for all.

OK, "making money online" isn't my keyword. The searches for this phrase is 748633. Thanks.

this is what I got here in the USA 784633

Thanks. now I can use the tool with some confidence.

It is keyword specific and Google will give you all types of variances of each of the key words.

I would want to enter the US market eventually.

Good question,

The world is a small place, international selling is common place. With fast cost effective couriers there is no reason not to market world wide.

Why stop at the US, UK, CA, Europe, there is Asia, Australasia, Africa, South America. Anyway that traffic will find you if your content is unique and quality. If the sales page you send them to dispatches internationally your in the pink.

Also electronic sales like clickbank are world wide also, language dependent of course.

THINK BIG my friend!

You are right. Many products even plus the delivery charge are cheaper than the local store-bought equivalent. The store owners are getting very agitated. I will take your advice to think big. Thanks!

I have the same goal I want US market so I will start promoting my website for Europe and US:)

I do often read that the US market is the biggest & most lucrative. It's a goal to aim for but there are possibly some very major players that one must compete against (niche dependent).

at least I will try I know a bit about promotion I worked for social media and studied how to promote let's see I cant be a 100% sure but I will give it a try :)

Absolutely. Give it a try. There is a saying - "nothing ventured, nothing gained".

we will not drink champagne if we don't risk yeah? lols :)

I like that!

Just depends on what your personal goals are. Both are viable strategies.

Thanks nathaniell, I'm thinking that doing well in the home market might prepare me well for the US market. But the US market is so huge that even doing badly could generate more than doing well in my home market. You know what? I've answered my own question. I want to excel, so doing badly isn't an option. I'll start with my home country and get the basics right. I just hope that when it comes to progressing to the US market that it will not mean too much more of a learning curve.

You are absolutely right. You can choose a small piece of a large pie or a large piece of a small pie. Same thing.

Starting out in low competition areas (not sure what your country is) might prove a bit easier to rank. I'm not sure. I've only done US stuff.

However, the US market shouldn't be ignored! No reason to start off thinking you'll do bad. That's what the training is here for. You can dominate in any niche by following the training here.
