When my inner voice whispers my whole being responds. I get chills on the inside when I hear my guardian angels guide and direct my steps. I then believe the totality of my nothingness has a purpose as fulfillig as my busy-ness. You see, our inner voice is our angelic guide which is connected to our soul.

One day as I sat on a stump at a college campus as an Army Recruiter I wondered why silence seemed so loud. I was only on the grounds of that campus because I was there to recruit more young men and women into the Army. Boy was I distracted by my inner voice. Although I was there for what I thought was a higher purpose to do what thus says Uncle Sam, I realized in that moment my calling was to listen to my whispers. So I did.

A full hour passed and students were all in class so I sat there motionless waiting for the classes to change so I could follow students around and tell them about joining the Army. I remember my angels whispered to me and told me to tell them about how important it was to honor their inner voices because it was this purity from which all sound decisions flow.

Why would an Army Recruiter be on a college campus telling college students to honor their inner voice? Well, all I can say is I had to obey my spirit and satisfy what my soul craved instead of doing my job. I spoke to many students before meeting Aliajeh, a student from a village in South Africa. Aliajeh was a beautiful girl who was very conflicted inside. She told me she always felt she was just doing and not being. Funny I felt the same way.

I went on to ask her more questions about her confessions and she shared openly some of her deepest secrets she's kept from everyone she knew. She said she felt compelled to share with me because a voice inside her whispered in her ear and told her I came to comfort her soul. Who knew I could be a comforter when my job was to send her to war if it came down to it? Well, after this revelation Aliajeh and I found a new stump to sit on together and we shared our inner most feelings about everything soul inspiring under the sun.

What I found was a soul connection with another being who searched her whole life to find me to share her thoughts with. For the next two hours Aliajeh and I chatted our hearts away and became soul buddies from that day on. Over the next three months we stayed in contact with one another then Aliajeh moved back to her country because she was on a temporary visa for school so she had to go back home because it was expiring.

I felt lonely and empty without my soul mate but I learned a great deal about life from knowing this young lady. I discovered that in our everyday life we sometimes do more and be less than what and who we really are. Aliajeh was not interested in joining the Army and neither was I interested in putting her in the Army.

What Aliajeh and I was meant to do was find one another and set our souls free from the bondage of doing what we were expected to do and just be who we are. I also discovered that when we do that and honor the inner voice inside us and obey our guardian angels we become connected to purpose which is more than any job or uncertain education can give us.

A month later after Aliajeh left, I received a letter from her at my recruiting center where she thanked me for setting her soul free. After reading her letter I was consumed with emotion and made a vow to never again approach another soul with the intention of putting them in the Army to fulfill a number system but rather to connect with their souls and create more purposeful, soul connected individuals who would chose to join or not because they followed their inner voices like I did.

Needless to say my recruiting numbers went up and to think I didn't even really try! Just goes to show how important it is to honor your inner voice and let your guardian angels direct your path for a more meaningful existence no matter what job you have!
