Things are making a lot more sense now. Just stick with it :
Its now 3 months since joining WA and i am doing okay after a slow start, i have a fully functioning website with good content and i am building on it for the future, and now more than ever things are making sense.
My problem has always been that when i do not think that i have done something properly and i have to start again, i tend to get side tracked looking for better ways to improve a task that i could just complete and go back at a later date and rectify anything i dont like.
This led me to delete my 1st website (a decision that i now regret) because it wasnt as bad as i thought at the time and with the tools and knowledge i have now, after just 3 months i definitely could have built on it.
So i suppose my advice to beginners and the reason for this blog is - Dont overthink things in the beginning just stick to the plan, work through the courses and complete all the tasks. If you feel things are not right just carry on and have a look later in the day or the following day because often you are probably just being over critical and your website is just fine the way it is :)

Very good advice Steve. It is so easy to get caught up in doing things just right, that we forget that things can be improved upon. The training is designed to take us one step at a time. However, most (including myself) want to know and do everything right now.
I'm glad that you have shared this experience and advice. Best wishes!
Thanks LaTonya.
Yeah you are right the key is one step at a time and have confidence in yourself
I wish you success :)
Hi Steve,
Your story is the same as mine and I'm sure the same as so many others!
It's difficult when we start on this journey to really understand all the facets of what makes a good site and it's so easy to think that our early efforts are not up to scratch.
But our sites are an evolving entity, what we may not like from our earlier posts/pages can be tweaked and built upon and the overriding principle is to keep building and adding content and to keep absorbing the training that is offered.
I believe that WA really works, and that by keeping going and learning, success is just around the corner!
Very best wishes
John
