I have published a blog post and after all my seo efforts and posting on various social media, getting quite a few shares etc im sitting on page 6 for my keyword which is good.

Thanks for the help guys

From what I can gather. The main thing is having the keyword in your page title so it appears in the URL. Next have the keyword phrase appear in the first paragraph. After that just write as you would normally. You do need to write ate least 750-1000 and more words where required (if you are up against other big sites). Also make sure your all in one SEO pack Wordpress plugin is activated. If unsure watch the SEO training again. The other big thing is your keyword research. What is your competition level?? Lastly as said in other comments if your site is new and has few pages, writing more posts starts to give your site more authority in google's eyes so the ranking will climb more. I think also don't get bogged down on one page ( as I am doing at the moment ;-). Just get the basics right and keep writing new posts based around well researched keywords. Hope that helps.

As you continue to post and build your authority site you will most likely see it climb!

It slowly works its way up. It all depends on how old the post is, exactly which keywords you are ranking for, and the trust that the search engines have on your site. Relatively new sites need to have some time before the search engines trust them enough to display their content above older sites. It also depends on your competition. But hey, ranking on the sixth page is better than not ranking at all!

Hang in there, it will rank higher!

I agree with dlibreros, Keep creating and publishing posts, use any marketing method, Google crawlers will visit your site, rank it and go, try to create consistent activity in order to force crawlers back to your site, but 6th rank is superb. work on your site to rank that level

Best Electric Guitars - For Beginners

Is my keyword 'best electric guitars' or is it the whole phrase?

Thanks

That is a hyphen, not a dash. The search engine ignores hyphens and dashes, so that's no problem.

But why break up that keyword? It is better in this case to have one complete phrase, as your target audience are folks looking for guitars for beginners.

If you want to break a title, use it to leverage your branding (e.g. your domain), or to place a call for action (e.g. Find Them Here). Make sure the title does not exceed the allowed pixel length.

Thanks a lot that makes more sense now

From what I have read in the past Google does not factor in the hyphen and it is ranked for the whole phrase, and when I run it through Jaaxy it drops the hyphen and by the way it ranks Very Well!

Thanks very much for your help I understand it now. Cheers

You're welcome! :)

You can easily test it in Keyword Tool. There is difference.

Yeah I uaes jaxxy thanks for your help
