Week 1 Complete. A newbies Journey

Why did I join?

I signed up jus over a week ago, I believe I started the training on the 9th June. Having been bombarded with promises of instant wealth on Facebook, I decided to switch my search to google. Wealthy Affiliate was the first site I visited...destiny you might say.

I am however a sceptic and so decided to do research before committing time and money. The general feel that I got was that WA was a great place for beginners. Even competitor programs and reviewers that had dubious reviews always stated that it was a great place to start. Whether you like or hate the interaction, which can be supportive or disruptive depending on your view , is always there 24/7.

The initial vibe was great and all questions were answered swiftly. After several responses from Kyle addressing my scepticism I decided to go all in... well not all in. I signed up for a month to see if it was for me and take time to assess my development.

The Journey So Far.

I jumped straight into the training; following numerous peoples advice to "get started" and "follow the program". I am now midway through level 2 and can honestly say that the step by step approach has been easy to follow, educational and led to progress in the development of my niche website.

I set goals; Kyle told me to!!! So how am I doing against those goals? Albeit simple at this stage.

1. Spend 1 hour a day learning. Both course content and additional content. Got to use driving time for those videos.

2. Spend 1 hours a day on practical development of the site and content creation.

3. Leave 1 feedback per week.

I have exceeded points 1 and 2 and achieved point 3. I am motivated to continue and keep the momentum going. I have also decided to add point 4.

4. Post 3 articles a week.

All 4 goals to be hit whilst sticking to course content and personal development; without letting other content and interaction distract me.

That's about it. I feel like I am making good progress, especially considering I have 15 hours per week. I am motivated and enjoying the experience.... my wife is happy because she can watch what she wants now :).

I am still sceptical about whether I will make money! But the scepticism is fading.
